The Old Vet’s House

The property was perfect for my birthday weekend away with friends! It was extremely clean, gorgeously decorated and perfect location in the centre of Masham.

We had a fantastic time and I'm struggling to find any faults at all. The only thing i can think of is we would have like a drying rack or washing line as struggled to get costumes and towels try between using the hot tub. But it didn't tarnish the holiday in anyway, it was lovely.

Fantastic location in the pretty village of Masham, with shops, market on the Wed, beautiful peaceful church, stunning surrounding area with plenty of places to visit within 30 mins or less drive. The cottage was situated right next door to the pub which served delicious food this was definitely a bonus, also not noisy from the pub. The cottage was clean, modern and comfortable, the hot tub was a bonus. We will be staying again.

The only downside was not being able to park at the property when unpacking the car, plenty of parking in the town square though so this was only a minor inconvenience.

May have felt too small if 6 adults were staying. A clothes rail needed in the 3rd bedroom

Great location and very clean and tidy. The hot tub is an added bonus too. Make sure you book food in advance at any of the local pubs/restaurants as they book up in advance.

Needed a few more utensils and crockery. Hot tub needed more chlorine tablets

A perfect location and tastefully renovated property. The hot tub is a great addition. The host was helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely like to stay again.

The cottage has been beautifully renovated, it's lovely. The bathrooms, fixtures and fittings all to a very high standard. The showers were great! Beds were very comfortable, linens are of good quality and the hot tub was a great size. The kitchen had everything required, including a washing machine. Great to have dishwasher tablets included too!! The cottage is right in the village centre. We had an issue with the hot tub but my contact Ewelina was very helpful and quick to respond.

The cottage sleeps 6 but the sofa only really seats 3 adults. An extra person could sit on the chaise part but with no back to support, it wasn't comfortable. We found this really disappointing as a family of 4 adults/tween/child we wanted to relax at night. Someone ended up being sat on a dining chair. One of the bedrooms had no storage/hanging space. Not an issue for us, but if traveling as 3 couples, I'd not want to store clothes in another room. Even a hanging rail in the alcove would suffice. The cottage is right next to a local pub which has an amazing beer garden, but it did get a bit rowdy at closing time.
