Seashell Cottage - Dog friendly 1 bed cottage close to the sea

Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish, from meeting Gary (the owner next door )to seeing our wonderful accommodation it really was fantastic and we highly recommend this property to anyone thankyou so much for a wonderful holiday j and L smith

Great location. Warm and cosy. Renovated to a high standard. Comfortable bed. Gary, the owner, introduced himself to me and was on hand next door if I needed anything which was reassuring, as I was on my own. Would definitely return.

I was disappointed there wasn't an oven . I think in view of this, an air fryer would have been very useful. I was also disappointed there wasn't an iron which would have been handy. It would also have been nice to have some basic condiments e.g. salt & pepper.

Great location, literally 5 minutes walk to seafront On street parking. Property located in private road so pretty quiet. Enclosed small area to let dog out. Good facilities at the property, clean great layout in a compact space. Comfortable bed. Gary has made the most of the layout and provided a good size shower and spacious bathroom. Good quality towels. Also provided everything to create a great stay. Including treats for when you arrive as well as milk, dog treats and pork pie. Water does get very hot, very quickly so be careful

Very central for travelling to my walks at Spurn and Bempton and close to the town for pubs and restaurants , plus the pork pie which is left for guests is delicious.

Fantastic property to stay with our 2 dogs. I forgot to ask if there was a hairdryer and didn’t take one with me. However when we arrived and there wasn’t one the host got one delivered to us the next day. Fantastic service! Great location and really cosy!

Ideally located for the beach (2 min walk) to town is a 6 min walk, Gary nextdoor is a wonderful bloke only too happy to help. We arrived after 3 hours of driving so to find a small bottle of milk in the fridge and cake/crisps was a lovely touch. Bedding was fresh and towels and the TV has access to sky package so plenty to watch at night. The seating area is at the front garden and you park on the road outside (it has no parking signs all along the road but thats to stop the day tourists). Its quiet at night and shell cottage is warm, the heated towel radiator is great as your towels are dry again for your next shower. The place is nice and clean. Only niggle tiny things were the spatulas were melted - (would recommend silicone ones) and no pint glasses (it was me and my auntie who stayed and we like a few pints of guiness/bitter at night). Will definately return sometime with my man for a nice weekend and would recommend this place as a good place to stay.

The owner was lovely he was next door, he popped his face over the fence and said if we needed anything to let him know and even gave us a freshly made porkpie. The location was perfect to the beach, town and the mere and local amenaties. Had sky movies and sport to watch in the evenings. Loved the under floor heating.

Not much we didnt like to be honest Needs a lock on the bathroom door but thats nit picking My partner forgot her shampoo so a few toiletries would of been good. No storage space for our suitcase But these arent things to be put off or makes you think im not booking there, as we couldnt fault it. As they are new, these are just a few ideas to think of for the owner but not complaints and would definately stay there if we ever visit in that area again. Thank you for having us.
