The View in the Countryside, very clean rooms

This place was amazing! Clean, spacious and beautiful! The views were spectacular! While we didn’t see any whales, others have spotted them from the apartment. We did catch the gorgeous sunset past midnight on our first night there. The beds were comfortable and they also had a shared washer and dryer which we desperately needed. It was also not too far from Akureyri (about 15 mins).

Not a dislike but there wasn’t a microwave oven so we just heated up our food on the stove.

Views mainly. Winter stay gor a week do saw in snow sbd without. Accessible roadway and handy for forest baths. Host was accessible when needed. We requested change of towels as we were staying 7 days. The was on the warm side but we're able to open all windows.

Nothing unexpected but uou are attached to another property. We tended to use the tunnel a lot which added to our costs but for 4 people this was good value accommodation.

Location was good (near Akureyri). Views were great. Quite spacious. Price is good in the Iceland context.

Ventilation could be better.

The apartment offers a truly breathtaking view — with both the sea and mountains visible from the living room, it’s a standout feature that adds a lot of value to the stay. The kitchen is another positive point: well-equipped and convenient for preparing meals.

The place is a little worn out overall, and doesn’t quite live up to the photos — which appear to have been taken when the place was in better condition. The bathroom is disproportionately small compared to the spacious bedrooms, kitchen, and lounge area. The sink is especially problematic — it’s so tiny that washing your face causes water to splash out, and there’s a low shelf above it that makes it easy to accidentally bump your head. Flies were another issue. There were quite a few in the apartment during our stay. Although a fly spray was provided, it didn’t fully resolve the problem and it became quite annoying.

It’s a rainy night, and there’s constant noise coming from the bedroom windows as the raindrops hit the steel window ledges. The rooms have very poor soundproofing.

The location was perfect for exploring Akureyri and Diamond Circle with bonus of being able to avoid toll tunnel. The room was super clean with most spectacular views of the fjord. Great choice for our family!!

We could not figure out how to completely turn off all heat sources so it was quite warm inside.
