Amazing Beach House, Sleeps 8, Pet Friendly

Lovely little house with a great “seaside” feel. Very close to the beautiful, and safe, Trearddur Bay beach. Also handy for the local convenience store and nearby cafes. Very clean and comfortable. Good outside space if you want a BBQ in evening.

There wasn’t really a sea view as promised. There were a lot of minor inconveniences, which you don’t really expect when renting a relatively expensive holiday let. Fo example, no soap was provided in the main en-suite bathroom, I had to go hunting and found some that another guest might have left behind. One large and one medium size towel were provided for a couple - are they expected to fight over who gets the large towel? (I was on my own, so not a problem for me!) No hand-towels provided anywhere, which was a bit inconvenient. You are expected to bring literally everything with you apart from the kitchen sink - some dishwashing fluid, a washing up sponge/cloth, and a tea towel would have been nice. There wasn’t even a bin-bag for the bin. And the kitchen had the tiniest cafetière in the world. Since this house could, theoretically, have 8 guests, this could have led to fisticuffs over breakfast.

This is a great house for a family holiday. On the ground floor is a double bedroom plus a bedroom with two bunk beds (so OK for four children albeit a bit crowded!). On the first floor is a living area plus a well equipped kitchen (including two fridges). On the second floor is a good sized double bedroom. There is a small enclosed garden. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of kitchenware, cutlery, etc. The position is great - only a few minutes walk to the beach and close to a Spar shop and the wonderful Sea Shanty cafe (a visit here is a must). Importantly the host, Yve, is wonderful - goes out of her way to make sure you have a great stay and any problems are resolved swiftly.

Very few negatives. A few areas under beds and over the cooker extrction fan could do with better cleaning. And a folder with instructions on the oven, heating, etc. would be handy. Otherwise, no problems.
