Lovely 1 Bed house in Largs, North Ayrshire

Clean bright location all excellent.

Only one thing I would change is the mattress.

Convenient for the centre of town

Location is fine for able bodied adults, however the front entrance leads on to a road so you need to be very careful with kids or dogs

There was no shower in the property, description did not inform you of this prior to booking, the cottage is on 2 levels with steep stairs to toilet/ bedroom again no mention of this either? It was booked on the the intention that dogs could be out in garden, upon arrival a big sign saying” as per title deeds no dogs permitted”

Kitchen and bathroom were lovely, bedroom ok

The living room carpet definitely needs changing, the suite not comfy ,horrible smell in the living room(dogs I think) 2 slaters and snail trails everywhere in the morning spoiled the whole house

The location

That the heating was set an you could not turn the heating up when it was cold. An that our dog could not access the grass at the back of the property was a let down.

Location, easy access to the beach, ferry to Millport and train station or local buses. the accommodation was clean and fresh

The mattress could do with an upgrade, could feel every spring when trying to sleep. all was going well until the police turned up on the second night 2 officers with a lady. She had come from Poland and saw us in the room she called the police, turns out she had booked for a week and the place was double booked. they were understanding when we showed our booking details. she had the same time and opened the lockbox. not sure what happened to her just glad we were already in the property. other than that all good.

Lovely bathroom and kitchen area. TV had a wide range of channels. Good location for accessing the town and the ferry.

The mattress on the main bed wasn't very comfortable and was noisy.

Convenient short walk to see front. Ideal base for travelling round and to get to ferries etc.. Plenty of space for a couple and additional put you up downstairs. Bathroom tidy and clean adequate full kitchen. Access easy via code all worked well Reasonable price for accomodation provided

Had to search around for parking as parking is on the opposite side of street but found a convenient location a short distance away. Neighbour opposite warned us of traffic wardens while loading up outside house actually helpful. Initially had a problem as house had not been cleaned but host seemed genuine and apologetic arranged hotel accomodation first evening. Cleaning was ok after. Remainder of stay fine bit annoying to find row of bins across front door which had to be moved to get in house but it's a street with limited room
