The Hive - Cosy Studio in Wells City Centre

Cosy really does sum it up. We were blown away by the beauty and charm of Wells, a trip to remember. The hive was a perfect little hide away.

Very easy - great little property

Location in the town close to amenities and big supermarkets, everything within 5 minutes walk, very good. Accomodation very comfortable, lovely bed and great power shower, you could even cook a full meal in the oven if you wanted, all equipment provided and washing up facilities. There's a tower fan if your're too hot or a heater if your cold. Soft towels and toiletries also included. I can't fault my stay, really enjoyed it, highly recomended 100%

I wasn't sure how to set up an account for the TV so I didn't bother, I have radio on my phone so I could listen to that. Maybe some more instructions for this would be good

It was slap bang in the centre of Wells, and was exactly as described (if not better!). There was enough space, and it felt like a little home from home.

Lack of parking at the property, but there are public car parks within short walk distances

The hive is centrally located and offers great facilities. it is noticeable that the owners put a lot of effort into it, with a lovely decor and very nice touches. I went on my own and felt safe there. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Really cosy ideal place to stay. Well equipped and in a great location. Bed really comfy and cosy feel.

Smell of damp from maintenance issue. Would have rated it much higher without that. And will speak to owner about this.

The Hive is a lovely little studio flat off the High Street in Wells, steps away from cafes, architecture, history, independent shops, supermarkets and pubs. It is beautifully equipped with just about everything you can think of - the welcome hamper has all the makings of a tea and coffee, the kitchen has everything to cook a meal if you wanted, there are nice toiletries an emergency box containing lots of things you may have forgotten- face wipes, shoe laces, sewing kit etc. There are card games, a torch and loads of other thoughtful touches. The Hive is bee and honey themed with crockery, shelves, a sculpture and a gift of honeycomb ( the crunchy sweet) amongst others. The bed is comfortable, there's a sofa and a good tv. There is a table to eat at The stunning Wells Cathedral is a 5 minute walk away, the Bishop's Palace with its lovely gardens next door to the Cathedral. The centre of Wells is small and compact, but there are plenty of things of interest and lovely walks in the vicinity.

The flat has no outside view; the windows are obscured. This doesn't matter too much as it's dark so early at this time of year and we were out and about during our stay, but it was odd not knowing what the weather would be like till you stepped outside!

Comfortable , clean with lots of useful little extras.
