The house was fantastic — spotless, fully equipped with everything you need, and in a perfect location. The host was incredibly kind and responsive. Super comfortable stay — don’t think twice, just book it!

Fantastic location, beautifully kept house, pretty garden. Judy was extremely helpful in advance and with any queries while we were there.

Great communication from the hosts, superb location in the centre of Stratford but still quiet and with a garden and street parking. Door code so no worries about checkin times or losing keys. The house was nicely furnished with all the equipment we could want. It was also a nice little touch having things like coffee, milk, salt & pepper and oil for breakfast. A nice twin room as well as a double room made it great for a family stay. Mattress protectors in the twin room made us feel a bit less guilty about our child’s night time accident (sorry!).

There was a slight damp/fusty smell on arrival but it wasn’t noticeable for long. If the kitchen had an induction hob instead of electric I would have wanted to give an 11/10 rating!

The house is nicely furnished and very clean, with modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen and all amenities provided, including a good sized washing machine-dryer combo. It truly feels like a home away from home and even has a small back yard. The owners are very thoughtful and want to make sure guests have a good and worry-free stay. For example, a plate with an assortment of English biscuit packs was in front of us when entering, a small jug of milk for coffee was waiting in the fridge and, very much appreciated, detailed operating descriptions for appliances etc. were posted in various locations. The central location is excellent, with only a short walk to all the sights, theatre and shopping . If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Stratford, especially for couples with one or more children, then you will definitely love the Bard's Nest cottage!

Very clean and nice decor with small garden.

The location was perfect for exploring Stratford. It was peaceful, very clean, cosy and had everything you need for a lovely stay. The hosts stayed in contact and were so informative and attentive. We had such a lovely stay.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Bards Nest Scholars cottage is a real gem of a place. The cottage was in a great location, centrally placed but tucked nicely away on a quiet street. It was very clean, lovely decor, lovely bedrooms and comfy beds. Lovely to have a Nespresso machine and selection of coffee pods too! Excellent communication throughout from the host who was super helpful. When I left behind a phone charger I messaged her and she immediately arranged to have it posted back to me. We will definitely visit again. Thank you ☺️
