Insta-worthy Loft on Historic Chester Rows, Sleeps 4 & Free Parking

The property was in a central location and had 2 decently sized bedrooms with a nice kitchen and facilities. We chose it because of this and the fact that it had a car parking space.

The property and car parking space was situated close to a half way house. We were followed in to the car parking by a drunk man and didn’t feel safe - a note was left on the car when we left saying that we shouldn’t park there. There was a lot of aggressive shouting in the alley way at night which kept us awake both nights. Only the lock with the latch works in the front door. The property was nicely decorated but needs a bit of attention, peeling wallpaper / paint etc and broken lock in the toilet door( nothing too bad). Any questions and you have to send a WhatsApp which is answered by AI, it seems impossible to speak to a real person.

The location was fabulous if you want to explore Chester. Just park in the free carpark provided and explore on foot as you are right in town. Very close to all kinds of great food outlets. Super comfy bed (king size too), good shower, lovely decor, full size fridge, comfy lounge chairs. All in all a great place to stay to explore Chester.

It was tricky to locate the exact entry way to the flat, maybe a photo with checkin instructions would be helpful. There is a bit of road noise, but it seemed to go quiet as the village went to sleep so not a disturbance during the week nights when we were there. Couple of minor cleanliness issues which i left a note to the cleaner about, but overall it was pretty good.

The property was very comfortable and cosy, with everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely.

The wi-fi connection was very poor.

Inadequate. There were cereals an d milk but the promised orange juice, pastries and jam were not there.

Entrance. Outside the flat was dirty, dark, smelly and unpleasant and felt unsafe. Mortice lock didn’t work. Parking arrangements weren’t well enough explained. Had difficulty getting the key code.

Great location. Well decorated rooms. Breakfast provided was very good.

Had an issue with parking and the company were hard to get hold of. Passageway outside of apartment is filthy.

The proximity to the centre of Chester. I also appreciated the character of the building.

Nothing worked. The heating, the coffee machine, the tv, the wifi... The beds were actually comfortable but dirty. Food stains all over both bed throws. On my return home, I've noticed bedbug bites on myself and my daughter. But worst of all was the fact that we were unable to lock the door at night. This left me feeling really uncomfortable. You could lock it from the outside but not from the inside. The entranceway to the property was strewn with rubbish and alcohol bottles. From the photos of the apartment, we were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, we left feeling grubby and really tired from worrying about the unlocked door.

Beds were comfy, it had everything we needed.
