Crewe Apartment - Stylish 2 bedroom apt, Garden, Free parking, Edin City

I can not say enough about this property or our wonderful host. We were met at the property by our host who gave us the keys and showed us all of the wonderful amenities. The backyard, was so charming and a lovely place to soak in some sun when the Scottish rain let up. The apartment also has a cute little gas fireplace that lights up instantly for some reprieve from the bad Scottish weather. I almost hate to share all the goodies we received, because I'm not sure the host can keep up this generosity, but our bedrooms were enhanced with gift baskets which included everything from an eye mask, to ear plugs, to slippers, and even rain ponchos among a host of other goodies. And don't even get me started with all of the extra goodies our host left for us in the kitchen including: Bread, cereal, pastries, shortbread cookies and a welcome postcard, milk, juice, coffee, eggs, and even laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, etc. We didn't even need to buy any groceries for our 6-day stay. The host was even super responsive to my dumb requests of "Can I get an Amazon delivery?" "Where do we catch public transportation?" etc. There's a Greggs around the corner for morning coffee and breakfast as well as a little Co-Op for any extra grocery items (we only bought some fresh fruit and even more coffee). The bus stop is just around the corner and made it super easier to take a cheap ride into the heart of Edinburgh and even a cheap transport to the train station for our longer excursions. The rooms have a HUGE amount of closet space as well. The neighborhood is very quiet and a nice change of pace from the city center, Our host was so very gracious it makes us want to come back just for this experience.

It's hard to say anything negative about this amazing property, but I will say the only minor issue was that I was sharing the apartment with my 75-year-old mother and I didn't realize or even notice that the shower is a fairly tall tub shower. So the shower might be harder for seniors to get into, but the host had a non-slip pad in the tub and my mother assured me that this was the easiest shower/tub for her to get into on our 2-week trip in Scotland since the host also had a number of well placed hand rails for her to feel secure getting in and out.

Carol was an exceptional host. She was very prompt to answer any questions, even which bus to take. The accommodation was decorated very nicely and had everything anyone could possibly need. It exceeded our expectations. The backyard was lovely, too.

We came from Malaysia and drove around UK from London. Of all the places we stayed, this was the best. Initially my view of this place was that staying here was like staying at home. However, after 3 days in the house, I concluded this place was more comfortable than my home.

Self serve breakfast, every thing supplied. Location was close to local public transport.

Carol is such a lovely host and very thoughtful. She makes you feel at home and the apartment is well equipped. The apartment was so cosy, well decorated, clean and so comfortable. It's close enough to get into town via the bus networks and the apartment is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood.

Can't fault anything. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is available. I just wish I had more time in Edinburgh! So much to do and time passes so quickly.

I love just about everything, not only was Carol so welcoming, the spot is so quiet and well located!

Not a dislike, just a little sad that i can’t stay here again when i come back with my husband and kiddo, because the stay was amazing

Clean, well equipped, comfortable

The area was a little further out of the city than we’d expected. Having said that, the bus service was very good. Used Uber on an evening.
