The Deckhouse, cabin with big deck nr Hay-on-Wye

Very quiet location, Lovely decor and comfortable beds and bedding. Welcoming tea/coffee etc Very clean . Good local info booklets . Very reasonable price .

The directions were not that easy to follow and the sign To the chalet was small and faint and covered in vegetation. Twin bedded room very dark . Needed more toilet rolls . Decking needs repairing .

Cooking / eating utensils etc a bit limited.

The property was in such a beautiful location in the middle of rolling hills and not far from book paradise Hay on Wye. The kitchen was well equipped and had I been there longer I would definitely of taken advantage of the mega bath but I will be going back so will try then. The other double bedroom was so lovely too in the little garden. My little Frenchie had the best first holiday

Lovely place - it felt spacious for the 6 of us (including 2 toddlers!). Enjoyed the bathroom and outdoor space, and the view over the hill was great. Good communication with the owner and easy check in/out.

The door to the outhouse double room didn’t close, which meant having to lock it to keep it closed. An extra key would have been handy for this.
