House of flies. Avoid avoid avoid!! Unsanitary unclean conditions, won’t get fully reimbursed. Unprofessional hosts

Avoid avoid avoid! I have been using booking for over 10y and this has been the “horror story” experience. The property was swarming with over 100 flies in every room, cobwebs in the ceilings, sticky counters, some stains on the bedding and dusty corners. Only reason we spent one night was because we were travelling with our 5-month old and it was very late to relocate when we got in. Ran out as fast as we could next day due to the unsanitary conditions (who likes flies in their food, on their babies face, in their hair, in their ear and as shower buddies?) Reached out to the owner who did not get back to us well into the next day responding “a few flies are unavoidable this time of year” and blamed it on their cleaner not reporting it to them. Very unhelpful and unprofessional. Regardless, by that time we had decided it was impossible to stay a minute longer. This was not a few flies, but well over 100. Disgusting, unsanitary and quite uncomfortable. We requested a full refund via Booking, very unhelpful, they secured 50% from the owner. I don’t see why they get to keep 50% if they provided crappy unsanitary conditions and the issue was on them. Am adding as many photos and if possible videos here so you won’t make the same mistake we did in booking this property. Utterly disgusted and furious!! What a scam!

Access to a kitchen and living room.

The stairs. I think they should state in their listing that there are steep stairs leading up to all bedrooms. We had 70+ yr olds in our group, the stairs were difficult for them. The bathroom downstairs was unsuitable for showering without flooding the whole bathroom floor. We stayed 4 nights. It would have been nice to have some extra toilet paper, a few extra towels available.

Lovely little house very comfortable, spacious and perfect location close to all amenities and lots of local tourist spots.

The house was kept super clean and a little goody bag with short bread, choc and milk was nice surprise. The location of the house is superb to cover the nearby areas. Parking was available on street but only when you were coming back early in the evening otherwise you may have to park a little further on other streets. Lots of utensils so you can cook without worry. Ground floor wet room was super helpful to clean up after coming back from beach. The host was super helpful and very responsive. I texted with them few times to check few things and they were prompt in their response on one occasion even in the late evening. Tye attic room window was superb to observe the changing view of the sea through out the day. Overall it was really nice.

On the down side of it, mattresses in all the rooms were a bit discomfortable except one bed of twin room. The springs can be felt on the back and after a day of exhaustion you need a comfy bed to relax. I mau have to rethink of booking their again only because of this otherwise would rebook happily. Another suggestion would be to provide a bathmat for wet room to dry out feets when you come out of it otherwise it wets the floor of utility.

Felt at home immediately. Easy to find and access. Great location. Facilities were great. Owners left milk, cookies, tea, coffee and chocolate, which we enjoyed. Beds were comfortable and showers too

Little bit of damp coming through the kitchen wall, not very clean underneath the sofa, and no headroom in the attic bedroom could only be used by the kids as I’m over 6ft
