The George & Heart House

Beautiful place to stay if you are visiting Margate or the surrounding area. The coolest and quirkiest interior design and so much character and charm everywhere you look. Also has the friendliest and loveliest staff we have ever encountered on our travels, they were all awesome!

Convivial to a point

Getting locked out over night when I arrived at 0:15am, and having to pay for a premier inn at 1:30am on.

It was all fantastic, the staff - Ben especially was really lovely. Really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. They had thought of everything, so many little touches made it a perfect stay. We especially liked Reggie's bar - wonderful space to start the day. Loved the decor, really felt unique but homely. Really looking forward to staying again at some point! The pub downstairs is equally as nice, great cocktails and wonderful warm vibe.

Lovely cosy room to stay for the night. The room, shared space for drinks etc and shared bathroom all neat, clean and tidy. Really fun to stay upstairs at this old pub! Breakfast the next morning very kindly laid out for us which we enjoyed in their rear courtyard. Staff friendly and helpful!

Fantastic rooms in a lovely old building. Full of charm and a great location. Fully kitted out room, comfortable bed and a fun communal lounge with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend! One of the most unique places we've stayed.

A big gorgeous bathroom, but had to share it with other guests. Not a big negative but it wasn't ideal having to get dressed to walk through the hotel to use during the night.

Friendly staff, quirky decor, stunning and comfortable room, and great set up with a private residents bar.

Lovely property and staff.

Great room with stand alone bath and super comfy bed.

Wasn't an issue for us, but room didn't have TV which you might expect.
