Sundown Lake Hotel & Spa

Our stay at Sundown Lake was fantastic. Sasini and the staff there were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed for two nights with full board which I would very much recommend as the food was absolutely delicious, with both breakfast and dinner being some of the tastiest food we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious and clean rooms and a great pool overlooking the lake. You have easy access to Habarana village for shops or other food options, and plenty of options for tours of the nearby national parks for safari. Do not hesitate to book!

Matrimonio que regentan el establecimiento son un amor, atentos con nosotros. Un desayuno espectacular, el mejor q hemos probado en los 11 días en Sri Lanka. Rodeados de naturaleza es inevitable que algún animalito se cuele en la Habitación. Camas fantásticas, super cómodas!

-Goed personeel dat alles doet om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. -Erg lekker eten, zowel ontbijt als diner. -Fijne kamers, met een goed bed.

-Het waait erg hard, waardoor je soms wakker kunt worden van het geluid.

Spitzenlage! Blick über den See vom Bett aus. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Phantastisches Essen gekocht von dem jungen Bewirtungspärchen! Persönliche, aufmerksame und liebevolle rundum Betreuung. Sorgen sich absolut um das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste. Toller Infinity Pool. Gute Ausflüge nach Dambulla und empfehlenswerte Safari mit Lion Safari (unkompliziert gebucht über WhatsApp). Guter Preis für Fahrer nach Negombo ( 3 Stunden Fahrt). Ein herrlicher Rückzugsort für das kulturelle Dreieck!

We had an amazing stay at the Sundown Lake Hotel! The owners were very supportive, kind and just lovely people. The view from every cabin down to the lake is great and the very clean pool area makes it even easier to enjoy the stay. The breakfast is very nice - you‘ll get some traditional Sri Lankan breakfast dishes too. We also had dinner every night and it was some of the best food we had on our whole trip in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave this beautiful place! Thank you to Sasini, Anjana and Mahinda for everything!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sasini was excellent in going out of her way to assist with arranging a massage and transport as well as a packed lunch for breakfast at late notice for a morning Safari. Also, the food that Sasini cooked, especially for dinner was some of the best food we've had and was excellent value for money.

It could be quite noisy at night in the room when any wind blew, we think this because of the design/material of the roof.

If it’s windy then it can wake you up at night, but I slept with my earplugs in and was fine

The location and pool was amazing also The three employees working there took care of us like family.very friendly and really helpful people The breakfast was amazing. They served it very tasty and neatly at the time we asked for.. My kids are really enjoyed and they want to come again.

The location is gorgeous. The stuff went beyond to satisfy all our requests. The food prepared by the lady, breakfast and dinner, was simply out of this world. Strongly recommended.
