27 Princess Royal House - Ground Floor Apartment

The apartment was more than we expected really pleased with how clean and comfortable it was . It had everything you needed and was surprised to find coffee tea sugar and milk on arrival what a lovely touch .

There was nothing we didn't like

Spacious comfy beds well equipped kitchen,parking permits to.park outside very quiet location

Standard of cleaning let the appt down but overall good location

Easy access to the property and on street parking permits available in the accommodation waiting for you. Kitchen very well set up with everything including washer/dryer and dishwasher (tablets provided). Large rooms so plenty of space. Very clean.

Only issue was the location a little walk to the main promenade and beach

The 2 doors from each end of the kitchen they did not stay open so to take anything through to dining table needed 2 people one to hold the door open They also squeaked very loudly

The property is located close to lots of amenities and is extremely spacious, making it a good choice of booking for a family weekend away. We were pleased with the size of the accommodation and it had everything you need. Free parking was a bonus as the host provided the parking discs and vouchers for the stay. The property is located on the South side of Scarborough and the elevated location gives you the choice of a downhill walk into town or the South beach via a number of paths. It takes around ten minutes to get to the beach and promenade- we chose to go via the coastal path above the beach for the scenery and steady walk down. There are also a number of Victorian tram lifts that can take you up and down to the front and town for a small fee which makes it accessible for everyone. The walk up would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but the lift gets round this. The host was very communicative and we had a great weekend; visits to the castle, beaches, parks, open air theatre, and more.

Fantastic location, a short walk from local facilities. Lovely property with modern furniture, However, we were clearly the first residents of the year. Upon arrival Fridge freezer was switched off, boiler turned down to minimal heat and few minor repairs needed attention ie broken toilet seat. Overall, the property needed a good spring clean for the new season,. Not withstanding that, on the whole a satisfactory stay in which the property services representative attended to the boiler and 1 am sure the other areas of concern will be rectified going forward.

Very clean and spacious, well appointed smart and well presented. Proprietor answered phone for queries immediately.

Heating tricky. Gas fire didn't work. Was told that ' it was disconnected because gas fires can cause problems'. Central heating settings somewhat locked down as set for HMO bills included. OK after thorough reading of the thermostat manual. Dishwasher top shelf broken, was told 'yes there is a new one in the garage waiting to be fitted. On arrival a couple of long life cartons of milk for a cuppa would have been nice but there was nothing. I asked about it and was told 'we used to put milk out, but it can go off between lets.'
