Please note that children aged between 4 and 16 years can only access the spa and pool facilities between 07.00 and 09.00 in the morning and 16.30 to 18.00 in the afternoon. Unfortunately children under the age of 4 years of age are not permitted to use the spa or pool facilities at any time. There is capacity for extra beds in some rooms, charges may apply. Pets are only permitted in some rooms on request, please contact the hotel directly prior to arrival for more information. Charges are applicable. There is a charge of GBP 25.00 per person, per day for guests wishing to use the Elan Spa facilities (treatments not included). This will be valid for use between the stated arrival time of 15:00 and departure time of 11:00. Must be booked in advance and will be subject to availability. Breakfast was very good. Buffet selection for continental and cooked breakfast fresh from the kitchen. Spa was super relaxing. Good sized sauna (two available) and steam room, with big enough pool. Room was well furnished, great size and lovely bathroom.

The food offering was excellent and great wine menu.

On arrival we entered the hotel lobby, bearing in mind this is a beautiful Cotswold building. Week before Christmas. There were no Christmas decorations or log fire to welcome you. No staff to greet you. We had to wander around to find someone to check us in. Room was spacious , but the bedding is not of great quality considering the cost of the room. Staff not engaging. General atmosphere not overly friendly. Awkward layout in dining room. Every guest requested to sit on different tables allowing space between other diners. This hotel could easily be so much more welcoming with some additional touches. It appears the love has run out. Very expensive and underwhelming welcome.

Wonderful staff ( Camilla at reception was super helpful), bar staff very attentive and friendly. Room was nice and spacious, dog was spoiled with treats and toy on arrival. Would recommend as very dog friendly. Obviously you can not dine with dog at main restaurant, but this is understandable. They made us feel special at the lounge and it was magical with Christmas tree.

Lovely setting, really welcoming and cosy. Fantastic with dogs as well, a separate seating area that had its own Christmas tree and was very comfortable, so you did not feel like you were stuck into a side room. Food was nice as well, separate vegan menu.

The bed was a bit firm for my liking & food quite pricey, which was not marked on the menu so make sure to ask to avoid any surprises.
