Studio 6 Suites Catonsville, Md – Baltimore West

Everything made our stay great and there wasn't anything that we disliked.

I stayed one night. Asked to see the room first. It was good. King bed, third floor end of hall. Parked and went to door on end to unload. There were big "palmetto bugs"/"outdoor roaches" near the door trying to get in. They are not the kind nd from filth, not indoor house ones and they were OUTSIDE so stayed bc room was clean. Bed was comfortable, carpet in room was not dirty. Decided to book for next night. Got there late due to going to an event. This time I did not check the room. Bad move on my part!!! This time room was on 2nd floor. As soon as entered with my stuff I saw roaches, the kind from filth that can get into your things and you take with you home!!! I killed several baby ones as soon as opened the door!! I remembered another review said they saw a few baby ones and that was that, but it didn't stop there. I saw a big one and killed it then noticed floor had what looked like bug sheddings. I went to leave and killed a few more babies. Went to go back to desk to get another room but none available! Went back to room to get my stuff and saw another big one on mirror. Took a pic, showed it to desk guy and thankfully got a refund!! But now after midnight looking for room!! Anil was the nice guy at the desk and he had dealt with me the late night before. He understood my concern of not wanting to take roaches home. (There is an older guy who is mean. Avoid him if can) Cassandra was also helpful at checkout my first stay *Moral-Check the room first!

Nice and quiet area with lots of stores around the front desk is polite weather it’s 8 AM in the morning or 3 AM in the morning. I locked my key in the room and the guy had no problem checking me back in.

I’m moving into an apartment but it’s not ready for move in yet so we’re staying here at Motel 6 for now and it’s affordable, convenient, and pet friendly which is great because not all hotels allow pets to stay free. When we were in a panic trying to find a place to stay with our pets Motel 6 really saved the day

Staff is good; Anil, Cassandra and others are awesome; rooms are comfortable & clean for the most part, however, the desk chairs are worn, old and unsturdy and the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner/smelling. Management takes pride in the property as it is well kept and maintained (grass cut, mulch, flowers, pavement, no trash or cigarette butts) which I very much appreciate. PPL occupying the rooms are often times LOUD, obnoxious (especially during the weekends), AND THEY SMOKE IN THE ROOMS WHEN THE ENTIRE HOTEL IS SUPPOSED TO BE SMOKE FREE -- I HAVE ASTHMA AND THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM; THE SAME IS TRUE WITH OCCUPANTS CHILDREN & THEIR BARKING DOGS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. PLEASE STERNLY ENFORCE (WITH SOME REGULARITY) THE NO SMOKING POLICY. PLEASE CONTINUE TO AGGRESSIVELY ENFORCE THIS AND CHARGE PPL OR BAN PPL WHO DISREGARD THIS POLICY. If I smell the strong stench of smoke in the hallways, it's definitely coming from the occupants in the rooms -- PLEASE CHARGE THEM AND/OR BAN THEM; your occupancy will not suffer by REGULARLY enforcing policy and consequence -- the hotel is in fairly good shape and it's in an ideal location for patronage. l've also been a begrudging witness to two domestic situations that likely would've gotten out of hand without me bringing it to the attention of management. I've stated my grievances to staff and I hope they've taken them seriously as I am a repeat customer who values fair and reasonable hotel accomodations that I hope will remain here.

Roaches on the beds

Fridge, tv and coffee maker...none worked. Owner operator makes load phone calls every morning in adjacent room...sounded like he was inside my room! Floors were sticky. Barely enough hot water for showering. Maid service only 3 days per week! Absolute worst place I've ever stayed
