If you want to get to feel what it's like to live in a normal British house, I felt like this is a pretty accurate experience. The house is fully equipped, kitchen, BBQ, books, movies - like a normal house.

No big problems, just some small things, like the shower a bit awkward to use, not enough hooks/spaces for all towels, the mattress being slightly worn (still, slept just fine).

Great base for walking, clean, warm and cosy after a long wet day.

Shower leaks, but it's a first world problem.

"Cosy accommodation within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons"

8.0

The accommodation was very cosy, and presented very well, with nice homely features, like fluffy towels and lovely welcome goodies (eggs, milk wine and Welsh cakes). The host was easy to contact and did make sure we were ok on arrival. We wanted to be close the Brecon Beacons and a train station (Merthyr Tydfil) for our daughter which were both equally easy to reach by car. It was quiet and the kitchen was fairly well equipped and the utility room and back entrance were handy with the dog. There were plenty of cleaning products and the shower was nice with plenty of hot water and heated towel rail. There were games and DVD's and a cosy living room so we could all sit together. It was useful having the side garden for the dog, but it was not completely enclosed as the gate was a bit easy for our small dog to get out of (and was bit broken/rusty). There is a nice curry house within a few minutes walk, (we got takeaway one night) but other places were closed for the Christmas break, which was a shame for us. It was easy to find off the main road and easy to get in and out by car to explore the area. There was storage in all the bedrooms and nice bedside tables and lamps.

I did think (maybe mistakenly) we had a parking space, but there is no driveway, so we did have to take a chance on getting parked and sometimes it was up the road as people were using the road to park for the club which is directly opposite the house. However, it was not a big problem, but the road was quite busy (there is also a school down the road - luckily it was the holidays). The main 2 bedrooms had new carpet but the small room had much older carpet that was a bit tatty. For 4 adults it was ok for a couple of nights, as the bathroom is very small - perfectly adequate but no hooks on doors and limited space to put toiletries. The large bedroom was mostly taken up by the bed, so you did have to squeeze past it to get to one side of the room. Door hooks would have been useful. And a large mirror in the hallway upstairs would be useful as the small bedroom had a very small one. (my 2 adult daughters ended up sharing the mirror in the second double room). It would be fine for 2 couples and a child.

"Perfect place"

10.0

Amazing, cosy house with all the facilities needed for a great stay. We celebrated Christmas with family. I’ll definitely book it again when we’re in Wales. The host is super friendly and helpful. The street is quiet, the beds are very comfortable, and the house is warm and well-equipped. We really enjoyed our time here. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. The place is also dog-friendly.

Nothing - all is perfect

Quiet, clean, well equipped house, very nice hosts, even got some eggs from them ( not from the shops). Enjoyed our stay.
