Orchard House - 2 bedroom house, Central Alnwick

Great location, very modern and clean house. Only short walking distance into Alnwick. Perfect location for visiting Alnwick castle and gardens.

Luke was a terrific host - great communication beforehand and provided a lovely welcome tray with grocery essentials. The accommodation was clean, comfy and well appointed with all we needed for our stay. The location was quiet, and the neighbours were too. Highly recommended!

Minor point... plug-in air freshners (it's a personal thing) and unless there's a smell to disguise (there absolutely wasn't here!) they can be a bit over-powering

Personally I believe in 5ft King beds and bedding for couples and best of all commercially zip and link singles. I loathe soft mattresses and this though almost new, was soft.

Really clean throughout, kitchen well equipped, host very helpful. Close to town with plenty of great facilities & attractions. Beds comfortable with soft bedding & cosy blankets.

Quiet location within half mile walking distance of centre and Coop. The maps to borrow, welcome pack, local books were useful

Very compact. In bedroom 2 there was only space for narrow bunk beds. The bathroom ( with shower) was v slippery and no anti slip mat provide (we used a hand towel). The TV system was complicated and we could not find out how to watch standard Freesat TV. No normal table to sit and work at - was in cold conservatory.
