GBLovely Pub in beautiful setting, room was large, clean and comfortable. Nice evening meal and freshly cooked breakfast.
We weren't made to feel very welcome ...we had to change our booking from two nights with our dog, to one night without our dog due to him being unwell .I did say on check in our dog wasn't with us now, perhaps she didn't hear me. In the morning there was no 'Good morning .. just got snapped at "you're too early! Oh yeah, your room 2 for 9am " from the landlady. Made no attempt to start a conversation, how did we sleep or shame you couldn't have bought your dog etc... only kept saying you were booked for two nights, now only one night, which made us feel very uncomfortable in front of other guests. Also at check out I was going to be charged for our dog and he wasn't with us. Tried to make conversation about our dog and he said they'd recently lost their dog and I have all the sympathy, as it's heartbreaking, but their attitude towards us .... Unfortunately it spoiled our stay , as it's a shame, because it's a lovely place and we were really looking forward to our stay there.. like the other quests .

GBWe stayed at this property overnight after attending a wedding reception at Danby. Excellent communication from the owner re the accommodation before we arrived. Home from home comfort. Accommodation was sparklingly clean . Wonderful big shower. White fluffy towels. Cooked breakfast was huge and delicious 😋. Situated in a beautiful quiet area.

GBBeautiful idilic location, beautiful setting and easy to locate. Bedroom was clean and the bed very comfortable.
The Inn closed at 9pm which we were unaware of. The landlady was basically unhelpful or amenable, she was not happy when we asked for breakfast half an hour early for 08.30 as we had to leave by 09.15. On arrival, we were offered breakfast verbally, ie "full english?" no menu to view, time for breakfast was 9am or 9.30 Asked for lemon tea, she queried on whether actually had a lemon?? 1 small piece of lemon given in the mug and no more offered.
