Big River Marina & Lodge

Great customer service.

Loved my stay at Big River Marina and Lodge. The studio was super roomy and clean. The bed very comfortable. I can highly recommend it.

The room was in a lovely location. When we mentioned the numerous challenges (below) we had the following morning, the manager immediately apologized and gave us a total refund, though we had not asked for it, but I very much appreciated her desire to make it right.

It was very cold and the heater/air conditioner was not working. The hot water took a very long time to heat up. Couldn’t find a plug for the coffee maker, and ended up using an extension cord stretched across the door. WI-FI password didn’t work. The biggest problem is that, as several other reviewers mentioned, there is no one there after 5 p.m. to manage any problems that arise. If/whenthey get the renovations done, it will be a nice place to stay.

Big rooms. Clean for first look, but when you look under bed is terrible. Some screws are in bed with sharp parts Nice views.

Bed linen is old and dirty. TV is not working properly. Very loud from bridge when cars cross it. I must use ear plugs.

It’s an older motel but has been kept up nicely. If you have a boat or plan to rent one at the marina,the boat slips are just steps in front of each room. One restaurant is walking distance and others are nearby.
