Tig Cottage - a rural, quirky, pet friendly 2 bedroom cottage near Ballantrae

Deceptively spacious attractive cottage. Beds very comfortable, great quality pillows & bedlinen; great nights sleep (novelty of hearing the river!) Easy to relax in living room on comfy couches & views out to garden. Great to have option of another reception room with dining table. Kitchen well equipped. There's a great amount of useful information supplied. Super dog friendly. Lovely to explore the garden (take care as steep to river) & walks in surrounding areas (dog on lead) & lots of wildlife, deer, buzzards, owl, finches, bunnies.... Also good position for drives to explore beautiful places a bit further afield. All the provisions & petrol you need at Ballantrae just 3 miles away. Great value 👍 score is really 9.5! 4 nights was too short! Host Vic very helpful, lots of info & very quick response to any query! Thank you!

Shower not very strong, but fine. For safety cannot have dog offlead (but this IS made clear in info!)

The location is stunning, the Cottage is lovely, well appointed and the host's taste and sense of humour shine through :) Walking over the bridge and down the lane from the cottage was wonderful, the River Walk at Colmonel was very pretty, as is any of the walking by the coast from Ballantrae

Although the furniture was beautiful and in keeping with the vibe of the cottage, I struggled to get comfortable (my dodgy back rather than the furniture) , The wife looked cozy though :)

This property is located in the most beautiful rural area, it is extremely peaceful which is perfect when wanting to escape busy life. I love how dog friendly this cottage is, we took our three springer spaniels and they loved it! So spacious for them. It has everything you need. We will definitely be returning again soon! I’ve already got the blues having left. It’s really comfortable and super cosy.

The only thing I would say and it’s nothing major it didn’t bother me as I love to read my book anyways but my partner does enjoy the tv on a night time but the tv is very small and far away when you’re a glasses wearer too.

We had a fantastic time at tig, ideal property and location to get away from our busy lifes and relax with our dog, vic thought of everything to make our stay and ours dogs perfect
