The Vault – cosy apartment in central Hove / Brighton

The main door to the building was not locked when we arrived in the evening and there was only a single key entry to the apartment, which for a basement apartment didn't feel safe at all. The apartment also smelt very damp and unpleasant.

Location.

Awful experience. No heating, flat very cold and loads of black mould in bathroom. Bedroom windows aren't secure, anyone can get in by sliding them open. Neighbours were coming and going in early hours, banging on the windows and walls. Felt like someone was trying to break in! I addressed the concerns to landlord who couldn't even be bothered to respond. Avoid! Not safe or secure.

Comfortable bed.Clean.Nice facilities.Very close to beach and town.Easy access to town.

Someone tried to attempt breaking into the appartment in early hours of the night and checking if there was somone staying there.There are two other basement flats there.The behaviour was disturbing and caused me loss of sleep due to safety concerns. I won't stay here again which is a shame.

The location is perfect, near the beach,shops, restaurants, affordable long term parking and bus routes. The apartment has everything you need for your stay.

The entrance into the building and the communal entrance hall. It is very off-putting due to the unkempt appearance and mess. I would not have gone in if I had not pre-booked the apartment. The apartment is dark. Only the bedroom has windows but they have mottled glas in them.

Great location and very comfortable flat. No complaints.

Nightmare property

The instructions to get in not that accurate. It’s to the left but at the side of building down to a cellar. If you want early light there’s no windows anywhere except frosted in bedroom. Also if shutters open neon lights outside. Other flat owners constantly leave front door open. Constantly make phone calls outside windows at all times. The owner states sorry that internet goes out been happening lately. Get it sorted as this has happened according to review since last year. So there is no internet!!! Phone service plus 3G forget it, it is rubbish as your in a cellar flat. I Needed to have access all the time as a family member was sick. Windows don’t open so the flats next door neighbours pot smoking smells are consistent. Comes under the doors It’s horrid! All day and night. No control over heating hence the silly heater they gave you that I had to use in bedroom then move to kitchen to point to bathroom. I also used that to defy my hair. Very weird art pictures with death written on them was so negative. No Iron or ironing board I could find. My photos show a mess around outside. I guess this guy uses air bnb by and I wish I could warn them. 200 quid for two nights, nightmare. Avoid!!!
