The Hoops Inn & Country Hotel

Our room was much larger than expected, very comfortable, and pleasantly quiet throughout our stay. The food was also of a good standard, with both the quality and variety exceeding our expectations.

Breakfast was superb

The only disadvantage was the climb to the car park

Character inn, lovely garden; outstanding dinner and breakfast; solicitous staff. Good location for Clovelly and Hartland. Very pleasant stay - would come again.

Lovely old character building. Food was really good. Bedrooms comfortable.

No air con, so on a really hot night it was a struggle to get cool, but that was more down to the vagaries of the English weather, rather than the inn.

Character filled thatched roof pub. Beautiful drive to pub. Room was more spacious than expected and very comfortable Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was hearty and big serves. Really lovely breakfast.

Hôtel charmant!! Chambre parfaitement équipée, petit déjeuner parfait.. et les petites douceurs offertes à notre chien😙. Un jardin ravissant derrière pour y prendre un thé. Nous reviendrons lors de notre prochain séjour en Angleterre🤗

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was perfect for us. No fuss booking in, beautiful garden in which we could unwind with a beer and a wine, superb dinner (we both had the plaice) and a lovely quiet comfy room to finally retire to. In the morning we were treated to a fantastic English breakfast which kept us both going until teatime. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome which is not always the case as we both ride large motorcycles. We would absolutely recommend a stay here.

Old period inn on the north Devon coast so really lovely location. Friendly staff comfortable room , dinner was exceptional as was breakfast
