St George's Hotel - Llandudno

Convenient location

We chose the 4 star St George’s hotel as we hoped for a couple of days luxury. We were very disappointed. Breakfast was lukewarm both mornings. The decor of the property was ‘tired’. We didn’t sleep well as our room had what sounded like whirring fans outside underneath our window. Also, maybe we were just unlucky as we only had one chair (and that had loose back legs!). We had to sit on the bed. We went for a rest and not to have to ask for things to be put right. The staff were ‘ok’ but not 4 star standard. We won’t be staying there again.

Location, foods

The location. The food. All staff with the exception the reception staff on our arrival .

The arrival. We booked online and had confirmation of a twin room. When we arrived, there was no twin room available, only a double. There was no apology, there was a very cavalier, casual attitude. Not welcoming at all. No information in the room, we had to go back to reception to request WiFi and breakfast details. The duvet is too small for two people. Only a trickle of hot water from the bath tap. Shower water pressure ok but unsafe to climb in and out of the bath. A grab handle is needed on the wall for people of our age (late 70s).

The location and the accessibility. I liked the fact that half-board was an option too. I thought it was great that there is an iron and board in the room too.

The walls were a bit thin and due to there being a gap under the door and a small hallway area, as there was not another door, the noise from loud guests and the light from the hallway meant I struggled to sleep.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Great location

Looking a but dated. Would benefit from an upgrade. Carpets could do with cleaning
