Song of the Sea, Selkie House

Lovely house down on waterfront at port. Very welcoming welcome, with good sized bedroom fully furnished, Bathroom down the hall which was clean and functional. Breakfast good and Lorna very accomodating.

Could benefit from a spring clean .

The room was nice, there was a small selection of tea/coffee and snacks, TV, chair for sitting. Breakfast was OK with a nice view of the backyard and birds. The host allowed us to use the washing machine and dryer. The shared bathroom was full of washing products to choose from. Free safe parking on the street.

The bed was uncomfortable, you could feel and hear the springs and there was no support (sagging). The house (common areas) were very cluttered and dirty, carpet runners dirty, kitchen greasy and floors with debris.

It was lovely and homely our host Lorna was very friendly and helpful and great to talk to

Lorna was welcoming, she made us feel at home and the view from the room were nice. Breakfast was good

Doorstep filthy hallway cluttered and carpet needed a good vacuum. Kitchen filthy floor, worktops dirty and cluttered,kitchen table covered in crumbs , Shared bathroom cluttered with owners toiletries,toilet rolls etc. Bedroom carpet had crumbs next to bed and a big fur ball on floor near the window. Had not been vacuumed. The whole house needed a good clean and decluttering! People can live how they like in their own home, but paying good money for a stay you expect better. We left and did not stay the night. Did not get refunded perhaps the money could be used to get a cleaner in!
