Stylish 2 Bed Apartment Near Beach, Parking, Wifi, Netflix

Location was excellent and pet friendly

Communication wasn't very good, place was nice except for the flooring which could do with some work.

Key box entry was easy enough, confusion as 2 key boxes labeled as no 1.

The cleanliness of the property was poor, unsure if it was cleaned properly between change overs. Cobwebs, dust and grime. Floor is massively worn and lifting in areas desperately needs replacing. It is a trip hazard for those not good on their feet. It doesn't seem to have had a mop for a while and needs a DEEP CLEAN. Freezer door broken, not that we used but it does not shut. Also property has damp, which has left us all feeling a bit wheezy. Seating area outside as you walk in has artificial grass, which had poo under the window. The area also has a strong smell where people clearly let their animals do their business on it. The property has potential, it needs substantial work location was ok, next to st James' church and a social club (I think) no problems. Parking space tight and the person who parks to right parks half in the bay so you have no choice to park out of lines, (pet hate of mine) We booked last minute so selection was limited and usual place was unavailable, this seemed reasonable - I hadn't read the reviews prior which I will ensure to next time booking. Had highlighted to host as we arrived, not acknowledge as automated emails were sent. Also check in 4pm- check out 9am...if you book via the host it's 3pm check in and 10am check in.

Was a lovely property , great space and very cozy. Dog friendly made things very welcoming , however some of the floor was peeling up and our dog was attracted to it . Apart from that it was very enjoyable.

There were several attempts to scam me for more money before I arrived at the property, via text, phone calls and the booking.com messaging system. The host sounded defensive and irritated about this rather than sympathetic, saying it wasn't her company doing the scamming and I must just ignore it. She blamed booking.com's systems but I was very uncomfortable. When I investigated through booking.com afterwards they told me it was an ex-employee of the host company that was doing the scamming. Don't know what the truth is, but the bottom line is my private information was compromised. Can't recommend either this property or booking.com

Took time to understand which key box was ours and got scammed nearly out of more money

Great location, lovely view across to teignmouth and Shaldon,easy to get into town and the beach, just a few minutes walk . Great to have a parking spot . The apartment is well equipped and comfortably furnished with everything you need.

Teignmouth according to the locals has a "fighty" area and the flat is in the middle of this. On Saturday morning, we were woken at 3am to shouting and then the next morning when we left we found blood splattered on the glass front door and sprayed around the walls! Parking is a nightmare, there is space for one car at the apartment which we were directed to. However the agent failed to tell us that they needed to register the car for us, this resulted in a parking ticket on the first morning. We contacted the agent who apologised and offered to cover the fine if we could send her a pic, to this date she has not sent us any means of doing this despite several requests for an email address or WhatsApp. I wouldn't go back...
