Apartment in Bairro Alto 58 - Lisbon Charm

Very central location, few steps away from the metro and trams. Apartment was clean and we appreciated the welcome basket. Communication with host was fast and helpful

Our host was very helpful in an emergency situation. The location of the hotel was great, with many of the areas walkable and very close to the metro station. Check-in and -out were easy.

Apt. was clean, host was very cooperative. Even bought us a fan because there is no a/c. Must be hot in summer. In early April it was ok Kitchen poor. Bed, bathroom, living room ok Location convenient to restaurants & bars, but way too noisy at night until 4:30 pm. Graffiti everywhere. It's a lively location suited to young people

Nothing to complain, location is stunning, flat is very clean and excellent noise isolation.

It was noisy at night . Kept awake till 2am. Even on a Sunday night , there were young men talking outside of the apartment late at night .

The location was very central and convenient and it had all the facilities that you could need for a city break- even hair straighteners, a nespresso machine (although there were no coffee pods- I get that they are expensive but maybe even a couple per person would have been a nice touch but there is a nespresso shop less than 5 mins away) and a toastie machine!

I have to say- although we were warned on arrival that the street outside the apartment was very loud- this was unbearable and perhaps should be noted on the info on booking.com. An attempt to sound proof in some way HAS to be made. We are a couple aged 30 who stayed for 5 nights, we stay out late and are not adverse to a good night out but it was too much. The door to the apartment is a very thin piece of wood and the people outside and even the guys who work in the shop across the path are constantly sitting on the doorstep to the apartment. Natural lighting was also an issue for us- from the photos I LOVED the overall aesthetic of the apartment and it looks cool but I’m reality you could be inside the apartment and have no idea of the time outside at all. It’s a bit disorientating. Although, I’m not sure there’s too much that can be done. It’s maybe just personal preference. Finally, the shower was also an issue. The bottom fills up very quickly with water when it is on, there’s definitely some sort of blockage or plumbing issue going on. It made it impossible to have a shower that involved both washing your hair and shaving your legs at the one time for it would overflow out on to the bathroom floor. The standard of cleanliness in the bathroom/shower could also be improved.
