Hotel on Magnolia East

I only needed a place to shower and sleep for a few days while visiting family in wildwood and this was the perfect spot for that. Jenny and Dennis, the owners, went above and beyond for my comfort. I was offered something every time I saw them. They helped me with parking. Their hospitality was so good, it made me feel guilty I wasn't hanging around more. A quiet street, a block from the boardwalk, plenty to do around there. I will be back. Thank you!

In no way am I trying to bash this establishment, but I would like to let it be known that every experience here will not be perfect. When we arrived, the owner was friendly and brought us to our room. However, we immediately saw hair on the bed. In every other space we went we saw more and more signs of a lack of cleanliness: hair, dead dugs and dust. When this was mentioned to the owner, he essentially ignored it saying that “each room is cleaned before everyone’s stay.” We were not offered additional cleaning, a new room or any accommodations. Because of this dismissal, we chose not to stay there. When we brought this up later to Booking.com, the owner refused to give us any kind of compensation.

Booking needs to allow guests to give properties one 11 rating every year to give a place like H.O.M.E. its due. Jenny and Dennis have created an atmosphere that feels like staying with family or old friends rather than a hotel. They are true citizens of the world and are also committed to preserving the historic and warm atmosphere of Wildwood. We wish them all the best luck and good fortune with this beautiful property going forward.
