Modern 2 bed flat Southampton- Close to Central Station & Shops

Modern and reasonably clean. Comfortable. Host was super responsive and helpful.

It’s a very noisy area so even with the windows closed you can hear people blaring music out at all hours. The entrance smells very strongly of smoke when you walk in and out but not a problem when you’re in the property. The lock to the apartment is very, very fiddly which really is a fire hazard, if you were in a panic to get out this would be a serious concern. It did make us feel uncomfortable. The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been, particularly the shower that seems to have soap/shower gel residue all over the glass. There are also shower gels/shampoos that are half used in the shower - which I am presuming have been left by other guests which felt a bit gross. I couldn’t see any coffee pods to use the coffee machine which was disappointing.

Spacious and very clean. Coffee machine was excellent. Big enough fridge and washing machine. Hairdryer, iron and travel cot provided.

The apartment was spacious, bedrooms nice beds comfy. The mirror in the bathroom that has light on it. Decent TV for watching a film. They had a travel cot available there which was amazing stopped us from having to go get one. Towels rolled up nicely ready on the beds. Had really good communication regarding the apartment and what we had to do before and after arrival. Evern, though, there are some cons would stay again.

Unfortunately the sofa was really uncomfortable, and one cushion would just slide everything you sat on it. Apartment front door was really awkward to lock and unlock if I was a person that panicked straight away I would have panicked thinking I was locked in. Unfortunately again it wasn't the cleanest bits of seasoning in cupboard, empty shampoo and conditioner bottle on floor in the bathroom. There was dirty mugs in the cupboard. A recommendation I would give for if this apartment caters for families would be to get either a stairgate or a door on lounge/kitchen as it was just open to prevent a child possibly falling down the stairs especially with the lounge/kitchen being at top of stairs. If this wasn't an issue and it was cleaned properly would have been 100%
