GuestReady - Sao Tiago in Old Town

Het goede ontvangst van de host Hélder die ons de sleutels heeft overhandigd en het appartement heeft laten zien. We mochten hem altijd appen als we vragen hadden. Ook het algemene nummer van Guest Ready stond altijd voor ons klaar. Het appartement was verder netjes etc.

Er lag maar 1 vuilniszak voor afval. Het lijkt mij vrij normaal als dit op voorraad is in het huisje.

Excellent apartment with wonderful views over the old town roofs out to sea. The apartment is very comfortable and excellently appointed with every facility catered for.

L'emplacement est idéal, à la fois en plein centre et au calme Cet appartement est propre et bien équipé, il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Le top, pas besoin de véhicule qui est resté rangé au parking sous sol pendant nos 3 jours de visite à Funchal. Belle ville, très vivante. Et le plus , un snak-bar au rez-de-chaussée où l'on peut manger pour 8 €. Le menu change tous les jours, le personnel est très gentil. Ce sont les locaux qui viennent manger.

Rien. Si l'on revient je veux cet appartement là.

Clean, well appointed, great location.

First, no stopper for the tub, the bedside table lamp stopped working after the first night, but most frustrating was that I couldn’t get the washing machine to work. Reported it at 3 pm and then was questioned and made to send photos, videos for two hours. THEN told it was too late to do anything about it that day and someone would be out in the morning. By 10:30 the next morning, no word and I asked a neighbor for help and we discovered the switch for the washer and dishwasher were mislabeled and backward. I contacted the agency to tell them it had been resolved but just after noon, a private technician showed up who had not been contacted and I had to break the news he had been sent out for nothing.

Difficulty in finding the entrance on arrival.

Außergewöhnliche gute Lage direkt am Rand der Altstadt über den Dächern der Stadt mit Blick aufs Meer und den Hafen. Nur ein paar Minuten Fußweg zur Seilbahn nach Monte und zum Meer. Genau gegenüber ein kleines unscheinbares einfaches Restaurant, in dem auch die Einheimischen essen gehen, für uns das beste der Stadt 😉 Zur Ferienwohnung gehört auch ein TG Parkplatz, die Anmietung eines kleineren Automobils wäre zu empfehlen.

Im großen und ganzen eine tolle Ferienwohnung, nur eine kleine Renovierung wäre mal angebracht.

Location and having a garage and the view.

The apartment is requiring maintenance, and showing alot of signs of wear and tear. The bedding and towels were thin and worn and the blankets couldn't be used as they were old and dirty. The sofa was uncomfortable and past it's best, and was the only seating apart from dining chairs, ir outside. On arrival we were under the impression there was a welcome pack as per an email. A plate of tea bags and coffee sachets didn't really cut it. There was no instructions how to use appliances which would have been handy . Basically it was a sad flat in need of tlc.
