The flat is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach and even closer to several shops and bus stops for Rye and Lydd. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. We appreciated the milk and bread when we arrived and had access to tea and coffee and fruit. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable. We had an issue with the bath plug getting stuck and a fire alarm battery needed replacing - the host was very responsive and sorted it out the next day.

The double mattress was a bit tired. It would be good to have a wooden spoon (for use on the non stick pans) and placemats.

"Location,location,location"

-The location was amazing, close to shops that sell basics, a chip shop and an Indian. -The beach with its white sand and Dunes as high as 2 story houses is 4 minutes walk away down a sand track. -They have closed Pontins which makes it even better as its quiet.... I strongly believe that Camber is one of the best beaches in the UK, it does get rather busy in summer though. -upon arriving there was basic food items left for me, bread, milk, biscuits, butter, fresh fruit, pasta, tins of soup what a lovely touch (even a bottle of port, im not a drinker so hey ho lucky next person) - everything you need in the kitchen, plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, pans, teapot, cafetiere, enough glasses for that time you have 100 friends over -communication was most excellent, non of this waiting around till the last minute for key box code and exact address that some do (I hate that as I like to be prepared) -one day I stupidly locked myself out in the pouring rain and cold with no shoes in my pyjamas and a vest, and they drove 30 minutes to let me back in with no complaints (so sorry guys and thankyou) -double bed was so comfortable, just right for me in terms of hard/soft...honestly I had the best sleeps I have had for weeks. -nicely decorated, felt like home, also my dogs were welcome at no extra cost which is a huge bonus for me. -clean sheets and towels and washing machine with washing capsules provided -smart TV with netflix, amazon, etc -they allowed me to arrive a few hours early, even though I didn't in the end -bus from Rye stops right outside and takes 8 minutes if, like me, you don't drive. And Rye is STUNNING, and medieval, for a day out or a nice lunch at the mermaid inn -everyone, post office lady, the owners, the neighbour downstairs, all so friendly and helpful -I'd love to return if you will have me after the lock out debacle

-a few of the windows have broken catches and won't open, I'd imagine it gets very hot in there, I wouldn't know however, it rained every darn day till the day I had to leave, which was roasting. LOL -traffic can be very noisy with windows open, you can't hear it at all when they are closed though as double glazed, so essentially they have done everything they can about it. (really I'm grasping at straws here) -stairs would be an issue if you had mobility issues.....or alcohol issues.....or both LOL -I really actually missed having a freezer, my only real gripe, even if just a small compartment at the top of the fridge, just big enough for ice and icecream.... can you believe I was forced to eat the whole litre tub at once...I mean..no choice *ahem* but seriously... ice and icecream are a must on a seaside holiday...especially if you have kids there and need to save money self catering
