Sugar Beach Resort, #414^ 1 Bedroom Condo by RedAwning

Sugar Beach and the property grounds are lovely! I requested a condo on the bottom floor and was told I would be given the last available one when I directly called the property. I was given condo 317 upon arrival. We checked in at 4:55pm and the office was closed for the night despite their posted hours of 8-5pm. Expedia and Sugar Beach Resort never emailed me with my unit number and requirements fir check-in. I called 4 different numbers for after hours check-in and finally received a call back almost an hour later. My family (who had checked into their units earlier) received no help whatsoever from the front desk woman regarding my “late” check-in. I have stayed at this property before and had a very nice unit. My family members had 3 other units this trip and all of theirs were markedly nicer than 317. The condo had an outdated kitchen and mix-matched dishes and cookware. The towels were also all different and of poor quality. Both beds were terrible and left my daughter and I with sore backs and poor sleeping ability. The AC did not work well in the master bedroom and the fan wasn’t tall enough to blow cool air onto the bed. The bed sheets were rough with questionable cleanliness. The unit carpet was stained and worn and the patio covering was moldy. On the day of departure, the property trash bins were locked and we had no where to put our trash. Our vacation was rescued by the fact that we spent most of our time on the beach or in our family condos.

The condo unit was overall clean affordable. The people both on line service & in person were helpful & friendly. There were plenty of parking spaces for guests. The access to the beach from our unit on the North building was difficult. There was a nasty water pooled, we can not walk thru there to the beach. Specially with a disabled person using a walker, it was impossible. Hopefully, that will be cleaned to get rid of the mosquitoes breeding place.

Air conditioner did not work 3 separate nights. Very outdated condo. Foam pillows not comfortable

The location of this property can not be beat. The beach is beautiful and the ocean view is one of a kind. We had 4 units and some were definitely better than others. Each unit is individually owned and we were surprised and at the vast difference in supplies, condition and overall presentation. One of the units was quite run down and did not have basic supplies. Overall it is a fantastic location with ok accommodations.

Excellent location. Well-kept grounds. Older complex but not run down. Loved watching the whales play!

We loved our stay here and will definitely be back
