Lago Resort - Best Views in Kisumu

The location was serene, quiet and tranquil. Staff were good, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The rooms were a bit dated, with no television and the WiFi was not adequate. Plus the roads leading to the hotel were barely passable. Some taxi drivers refused to go to the hotel !!!

The staff were so accommodating with no pressure for checkout time allowing us to maximise our time off. The rooms were cleaned and towels provided with soap. Very relaxed time out with beautiful views

Beautiful views, lovely staff, beautiful location

This time we brought some friends. We arrived very late -- which of course was no problem -- and we all were hungry. The chef was not there, but the owner, Mr. Dan, right away suggested that he and the ladies in our group should go in the kitchen and compose a meal. After half an hour we all could enjoy a tasty meal. We came back to Lago Resort from Eldoret after a busy weekend, so we agreed with Mr. Dan that we needed a long sleep. In the late morning the chef prepared for us brunch including eggs, bread and leftovers from the midnight meal. We wanted our friends to enjoy Lago Resort like we always do, so we stayed all day at the compound, enjoying the view, the shadow under the many trees, and conversations with Mr. Dan. The ladies in our group entertained everyone at Lago Resort by singing their beautiful gospel song.

It is us again. We have regular errands in Kisumu, and Lago Resort has become our preferred place to stay. This place is an oasis of peace and quiet away from a demanding work life and Kenyan towns packed with people. The owner, Mr. Dan, is pleasant man of profound knowledge, who treat his guests as family. Choose any topic and Mr. Dan is ready for conversation. If you visit Kenya/Kisumu from abroad, go to Lago Resort and experience real and sincere Kenyan hospitality.
