Lago Resort - Best Views in Kisumu

The place offers a very serene tranquil environment which makes it a great place to chil and eat great food from the resort

It's a bit far to reach but still connected with boda bodas of you walk 5 mins

I absolutely love the place! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I extended my stay with a few weeks:-) The views are spectacular. The neighbourhood is perfect for hiking, running and cycling. My double room on the top floor felt like home. Will definitely come back!

Be aware that this amazing place is 5 km out of town. The roads on the hill are all rocky dirt roads. It's a bit of a challenge to reach Lago Resort. If you don't mind challenging roads, then this is your place to be.

The staff is very friendly and will make sure you’re comfortable. They’ll also help you find the best solution to your concerns/questions. The view is great and relaxing. Feels good to be away from the craziness of the city sometimes. Food was good.

The location isn’t accessible easily and about 25/30 minutes away from the city and 40 from the lake. Drinks are expensive. I don’t recommend taking a ride with their friend “Robert”. He’ll charge you 3-5 times more than a usual taxi or Uber. Ride motos instead.

The property has a spectacular view over Kisumu and the lake Victoria.

The hospitality from Nester and Joseph was exceptional. They are both very well informed and sociable hosts and terrific company. The breakfast provided was tasty and a welcome start to the day. The views of Kisumu are pretty spectacular, you can literally take in the entire city from the place.

There were several problems with power cuts, but I did stay during the rainy season and the severity of the storms was out of their control. The property is hidden in the hills, so expect to have to assist local taxis and boda riders to find the place.
