The quirkiness of the whole experience from the communication to the actual venue.

There wasn't anything g I didn't like.

Really great little place to stay, so much attention to detail and care has gone into creating this little bit of magic!

My partner is very tall (just over 6ft 3), so he struggled with not being able to stretch out on the bed due to the design/layout. No fault of the hosts, just something to bear in mind if you're tall!

Quirky & clean

Was in a run down area,behind an empty dirty terraced house & entry in a scruffy back lane. We did not stay at the property,due to this.

such a unique aesthetic that really gives this place charm and a cosy feel. such a wonderful experience to open the door and see the work and dedication that went into both the design and structure. despite the location we felt our privacy was never an issue and it really felt like it's own little space from everything else around it. there was also very little noise from neighbours and surrounding area. WiFi was also super useful.

the TV didn't always get a great signal for its channels. space also could have been utilized with shelves (especially in the bathroom where there was nowhere to put toiletries in a tight space) and the bedding area (especially if you're sleeping on the inside against the wall). Also there's a large piece of the wooden log of the bedside that you can keep hitting your ankle against when trying to sleep (would recommend a slight shaving down).

Very cute and quirky little building, good use of space for the size of it. Very clean and warm!

you could hear everything going on outside which made it a bit hard to sleep but I understand this is hard to control

I cannot start to even describe how happy we were with our hovel! So comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed for a few nights in York. Beautifully decorated, warm, cosy little place for us Witchlings to enjoy. It felt perfect, and so good that we will definitely return if Helga is away and ‘him under the bed’ doesn’t mind our company returning. Whilst at the hovel we got engaged! so even more reason to return to Helga’s hovel to celebrate anniversaries to come. We couldn’t be happier and more grateful for this incredible stay.

Wonderful design, very cosy.

Everything about my stay in "A little bit of magic- witchcraft" was very special. It is so cosy,warm,authentic. It really felt like "Home", Every detail of the property is so well thought out,surprises that catch you out. It was exceptionally clean. It is only a 20 minute walk by the river into the city centre shopping area. I definately will be back. It is in a quiet area,really felt like a unique personal safe place, nice play park and place to sit outside under beautiful trees. Loved the chocolate biscuits!

Fun theme

It’s just a converted shed in the garden in a rough area with a shut down pub nearby Very small and a very small and uncomfortable bed. Way overpriced.
