Loved the fact it was very clean and had everything you needed. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Absolutely loved how quirky it was won't be to everyone's taste but we loved it something different

Found it a bit strange at first that it is a converted shed at the bottom of a garden. But it has been converted to a really good standard and alot of thought has gone into it as I have already stated it will not be to everyone's taste but we enjoyed our stay and would love to go back in the future

A kooky little room decked out in the medieval witch theme. The owners are great, very friendly and helpful.

The room is very small with very little space for luggage.

Host was fantastic, quirky messages on the lead up to the stay which made it even more exciting. Very special little room which would be adored by any little witch or wizard or Harry Potter fan! Attention to deal is great with all the potions etc. Loved the surprise too and the remote candles were very cute. Great shower room. Loved the shutters on the windows. Comfortable mattress.

I really dislike to put anything negetive on reviews and I think I only feel this way because I had a different idea in my head of where this property was situated given the photos. It's actually an old outhouse in the owners very small paved back garden. Maybe it used to be a shed or old outside toilet block, I'm unsure. You open the door to your room and your looking directly into the owners livingroom through his french doors which is about 8 foot away so no amount of privacy for the booking or the owners I guess. When we arrived, I was adamant we must have been given the wrong address as you pull up to a row of very run down terrace houses. Not the magic I was expecting sadly. Inside the room is lovely and authentic, including quite a few real cobwebs! The bed creaks that much when you get in/out that i honestly thought it was broken and the toilet door creaks that much that you don't want to close it at night incase you need the toilet as you will definitely wake up whoever is with you by opening the door. I'm glad we experienced this property, its very unique and definitely worth a stay but sadly we wouldn't return.

The accommodation is quite special and you can really feel and see all the love and focus the owners put into this. There are a lot of really lovely, funny tiny details to observe. Perfect for a short visit of York: After a 20 min walk along the river you are downtown 🤗

Absolute little gem of a place to stay. Clean, tidy and very quirky. Love the effort and quality of skill and knowledge that has gone into building this accomodation. Being Steampunks, this accomodation was right up our street.

Everything was perfect, wonderful ,little magic place to stay, owners and place with a lots of imagination. Owners very helpful.Definitely l'm coming back. (I could live there forever) 😁

An absolutely wonderful little place. Had everything we could have needed for a short stay in York. Our only regret was that we didn’t spend enough time in it as we were exploring the city. It had a hot plate too that we didn’t use. The decor and style was wonderful and we both had a great nights sleep too. The location was good and was only a short (15/20 min) walk into the city via the canal. Would definitely stay again.

Maybe a little on the pricy side but that could have just been that particular weekend as I checked some other weekends and it was half the price. Parking was a little sketchy as it was a residential area but the car was safe during our stay. This is nitpicking though and there wasn’t really anything I didn’t like.
