Swan House Tea Room and Bed & Breakfast

It was so clean and the decor was lovely. The staff were so very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Martin the owner was such a lovely, warm and friendly gentleman. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it too. Would definitely stay there again. Top marks!

The breakfast was tasty with a good range of choices. We also liked the room, which was comfy and clean.

We loved our overnight stay at this property. The room was clean, tidy and well heated. Tv was provided with a SkyQ box and Netflix which was a bonus! Aside from the lovely modern interior and exposed beams, the highlight was the large bed, most comfortable stay we’ve had away from home. The Breakfast was a great fry up with tea and juice provided. Martin and his other wonderful staff were very welcoming and helpful. They provided a lovely stay. Thank you all!

Rooms were very clean and conformable bed

Excellent hospitality for the night before my wedding. Rooms were comfortable and clean! Staff even got up early to make us an extra early breakfast before my big day. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We loved our stay here, everyone was friendly, helpful and the room was very clean and comfy. The location is peaceful and quiet despite being near a fairly busy road. Room wasn't huge but had all we needed for a short break and we didn't go to spend the whole time in the room... It was nice to have our own entrance from the patio so we didn't feel we were disturbing anyone else if we got back late. Plenty of free off road parking was handy, there also was a bus stop not far away at all if no car but we didn't check out the availability / frequency of those. There's a good pub shortly up the road for food and drinks, uphill on the way there so the right way round. When we realised we had booked a day trip quite far away, we didn't have time for a sit down breakfast so a lovely take away breakfast was put together for us the night before which was much appreciated. We also decided that as a tearoom we should try the scones, which were delicous.

Definitely a minor thing but I am someone who likes to sleep with a slightly open window. We opened the door for fresh air when we were in the room but obviously had to close this when sleeping. Our room was designed that there were two large panelled windows either side of the door which did open, but fully so we kept locked when asleep for safety, a smaller half window or vent would be good. It wouldn't stop us staying again though and a fan was provided.

What a lovely find. Cosy bed and breakfast, lovely and clean, cosy, beautiful decor and nothing was too much trouble for the host - totally recommend this gem of a place. My only disappointment was that I couldn’t try the afternoon tea which is their speciality. Next time :-)
