Swan House Tea Room and Bed & Breakfast

What a lovely stay we had at Swan House. It exceeded our expectations and we would liked to have stayed longer. In a good location, we were very comfortable in the en-suite room with a kitchen and sitting room. Immaculately clean and the owners couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. And the welcome pack was thoughtful. The complimentary cooked breakfast was very nice indeed. Lots of parking - set back from a main road and very peaceful. A first class stay - thank you!

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Nice quiet location which was what we wanted. The breakfast was also delicious.

The owners/hosts were excellent which with a wonderful room and nice setting made it the perfect stay.

Easy to find. Clean. We had booked one night for a concert in Chepstow which was cancelled at the last minute. We had no idea it was cancelled until we arrived. This wasn’t the fault of the b&b, nor was it their fault that the policy is to charge the full price even when circumstances beyond the control of the customer intervene (in our case, a flood on Chepstow racecourse). I imagine the management could have chosen to reduce the rate a little, considering we didn’t sleep in the bed, eat anything, or use the shower, but I didn’t have the strength to discuss this.

The staff were trying, I think, to be sympathetic. But the way they broke the news to us rather bluntly, in front of a whole cafe full of people, when it was my daughter’s favourite ever singer… then just handed us a ‘breakfast sheet’ when she was obviously very upset… it wasn’t handled with sensitivity. It was partly due to the layout: everyone can hear everything, and the reception desk is right by people eating their lunch and cream teas. The place felt quite soulless, to be honest, though we didn’t stay long enough to confirm this first impression. The room was small, but spotlessly clean. If I’d been alone, I might have stayed anyway, but we left as my daughter was so upset. We were there for 40mins total, at a cost of £130.

The breakfast was great and the staff were really accommodating recommended this B&B to family and friends. Kirsty & Lizzie

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Our hosts were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Martin even supplied the transport for our concert in Chepstow. The rooms were spotless and had everything you needed for a cosy night stay. A selection of teas and coffee facilities were in our room with a biscuit and water too. Breakfast was the best! Pre-ordered the night before we were treated to our full English with toast juice and hot drinks. What a beautiful place and the loveliest hosts. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back

I would highly recommend to stay in the Swan House Tea Room The place and atmosphere is really unique, you can feel that the owner put a lot of effort to make the place feel cozy and pleasant The breakfast is served with many options for you to choose, and it was very well prepared Once again, thank you for the warm hospitality!

Breakfast was delicious and made with love!!! We had pouched eggs , toast and salmon and everything was fresh and delicious!! We had as well freshly made orange juice and fantastic coffee :)
