Great facilities. Awesome location. Close to all the major attractions in the Peak District.

Very close to Horseshoe Quarry if you are climbing there.

To check in, you fill in a long form, upload photo ID and pay a £150 security deposit (in addition to the booking fee). I have never experienced anything so strict for my many bookings on booking.com over the years. The security deposit part of the form would not work, so I could not complete the form and had to contact the agent to pay another way. The info about photo ID and security deposit is buried in the small print of the listing, so I had no idea It was required when I booked the apartment - it should be more prominent. As the check-in form did not work, I had to contact the agent a second time to ask if they had all the details - more admin. The apartment is in a big new-build block of flats. On entering the apartment we spotted: Brown stain on the towel Yellow stains on sheets & duvet cover Hair on pillows, duvet cover & sheet Crumbs on floor, sofa, rug & chair Sticky substance on table Bathroom floor dirty Sewage smell in bathroom Used guest towel hanging on back of bedroom door The lady at reception called the cleaner, who came and changed the linen and said that she had hoovered. On re-entering the apartment, most of the crumbs were still there, the table was still sticky, the bathroom floor was still dirty, the sewage smell was still in the bathroom (plumbing issue?). There were some hairs on the duvet cover. We realised that this was as good as it was going to get, so continued with our stay. The security deposit was supposed to be refunded 72 hours after checkout. 4 days later I had still not received it so messaged the agent at 09:43. At 09:51 I received an automated message saying the deposit had been refunded. At 10:07 I received a message from the agent saying "The security deposit was refunded yesterday". At time of writing, that £150 has still not hit my account. The refund email said it may take up to 10 days - WHY? It's a weekday during banking hours. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Good base for walking in the Peak District. Liked the flexibility of having a kitchen and sitting room and place to wash boots etc. Bed was comfortable and it was good value for money.

It was fit for purpose and comfortable. Not luxurious but overall very good. Would have liked the apartment to be bigger .

Clean apartment, other areas of the building were nice and clean as well.

Few little things... Apartment stank of garlic, even though we opened the patio door it still stank. In bathroom the handsoap dispenser was empty as was the oil defuser.... Overlooked maybe or do they ever get filled up? Bed was too small.... Only a double. Also no where to store food... We don't cook on holiday so only had bread/crisps and fridge stuff but had to be left on limited work surface. Sofa was uncomfortable... I belive it's a bed settee so maybe that's why. Nothing major tbh.

Stoney Middleton is a great location as a base for a break in the Peak District, with the ability to start rambles from the doorstep. The apartments facilities are adequate to enjoy a break and self cater as required.

The apartments are described as deluxe and professionally cleaned. In my opinion they are furnished to a minimum basic standard for an occupancy of two people only and the quantity of mugs / glasses provided would not support more than two persons. The attention to detail in the cleaning / servicing of the apartments could not be described as professional. For example dirty tooth mug, residual hair on shower walls and no toilet rolls.

Bed was comfortable. Shower was very good. Check in process was very easy. Apartment was clean and modern.

Wi-fi was quite temperamental. Needed to purchase some cleaning items such as washing up liquid and cleaning spray as they were not available in the kitchen.

The property was excellent. Very clean, comfortable, homely and stylish.

Nothing - the property was exceptional.
