‘Museum Loft’ Scotland’s Wee Hat Museum

We were met and received a friendly welcome by Jeanette who showed us into the apartment. It certainly has that quirky theme overlooking the Hat Museum through the large windows at the back of the room and having many curiosity items throughout the apartment. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable although personally, being fairly tall at just under 2m, I found the bed awkward as either my head or feet were against the metal headboard or footboard. Overall it is a lovely place for a short stay in Newburgh.

Everything was perfect. The accommodation really blew us away with its gorgeous design and cosy feel. Our stay hit, and exceeded expectations. It’s a place I would not hesitate to revisit. The building itself is a gorgeous space. The apartment overlooks the hosts museum, giving a very intimate and unique feel to your stay, incorporating the work of the host with the apartment itself. A very cosy, fascinating space with a lot of charm and character. A true little haven from another world.

The only aspect I would comment on in this, is the heating. During the night, mid March, the apartment got colder than was comfortable over night, as the heating locked/switched off, and the apartment (which is a big space), cooled down too far to be comfortable and it was felt a bit during the night. The apartment was equally colder than ideal come the morning. Despite the heating turning on again early morning, it took a while to warm to comfortable again.

The whole experience of being in such an iconic and beautiful place with history and flair. Jeanette was very helpful and kind which I greatly appreciated.

It was very quirky, & clean. Jeanette the hist was lovely.

Nothing everything was good

The accommodation is fantastic with very interesting curiosity and vintage clothes. Jeanette, the host, is very friendly and helpful. The location is super for coastal walks and both the accommodation and location are very dog friendly.

There is nothing we did not like it is all fantastic.
