"Quiet and pleasantly quirky"

10.0

Quiet, studio but spacious, well equipped kitchen and bathroom facilities. Great fun for anyone interested in hats, clothes and haberdashery. There are a lot of lovely gardens in Newburgh, especially close to Lindores Abbey and the distillery. A pleasant riverside walk too. Easy access to the rest of Fife and to Perth. Falkland (including the palace and a quick dash up the Lomond hills) and Loch Leven Castle well worth the trip (may need pre-booked in summer). We would very happily stay there again.

There are no evening eating out places within walking distance. There is a pizza van some evenings, but we didn't see it.However there is a well stocked Co-op, and good restaurants a short drive away (including Bein Inn (pub grub) or No 2 The Bank at the Parklands Hotel in Perth (fine dining)).

"Enjoyed a night here after a hard days cycle. The host was lovely and I really enjoyed my stay."

9.0

The room was eclectic with lots of interesting items with great views out to the estuary as well as a window overlooking the curious hat museum. It was large with all of the facilities I needed. A local, well stocked store allowed me to purchase all I needed for an evening meal and breakfast. The host kindly allowed me to store my (filthy) bike inside the main door where it was safe.

Shower wasn't quite working properly, think something was wrong with the shower head (seemed to be leaking a bit). Mainly though I was worried it would cause water damage to the lovely property.

"A magical place to stay"

Absolutely loved the eclectic, quirky atmosphere of the accommodation. It has all the features necessary for a self-contained apartment, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner is genuine, friendly, and helpful. Located with a gorgeous view and an easy walk to the shops.

"Kind hostess and interesting environment"

8.0

Very quirky. Owner was very kind as I sheltered from extreme weather. Well equipped.

Some people might find it rather too quaint. More for the Air bnb traveller.
