Royal Mile - Bright 2 Bedroom Apartment

Great property, right on mile. could shop and drop things off. looked out at mile from rooms. hear the street performers during day, Quiet at night. As an American real estate appraiser, can say the unit was beautifully renovated with upgraded finishes. Read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one. 1st off yes there are alot of stairs, but if you want to be on the mile they all have stairs. Trade off, on the mile and able to walk to everything, has some stairs. Other item I read about was water pressure, old buildings low water pressure, not here. They added a booster to the shower so has great water pressure.

Light, clean & airy apartment but up a long high round staircase not for the faint hearted. Perfect position to see all the old town & attractions . Loved the city .

The high uneven staircase, you’d only want to go up once a day & not for small children or elderly. Also really poor water pressure so a shower was a challenge.

Location is right in the centre. Great view. Good size rooms.

Stairs, fourth floor! Stairs are old stone, quite worn and spiral. Was hard going, not for the elderly, those with young kids or any form of mobility issue! Paid for cleaning, but wasnt clean. Drinks bottle and someone's dirty dried teacup complete with teabag left out on display. Someone clearly had a pepperoni pizza before we got there as it was left all over the oven.

Location was great and apartment was clean and modern.

Steps up to apartment were quite dangerous for kids, some notice in the booking page would be helpful.

Excellent location right next to the train station and in the centre of the old town - was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to visit and the flat was beautifully decorated. Very clean and had everything we needed. Super easy to find and get the keys.

The electric heaters weren't the best for heating such big old rooms and the bed and sofas weren't the most comfortable. There is also a really steep, stone spiral staircase up to the flat which is the 3rd floor and the water pressure isn't great, but comes with an old city building - just something to bear in mind when booking.

Excellent location. Comfortable beds. Clean. Great choice for 1 or 2 nights in Edinburgh.

Only downside of the place to consider is that it is lovated in the 4th floor and there is no lift. As we had backpacks and were travelling light, and our group was mostly young, this was not a problem, but if you are coming with youngsters or older people, or with heavy luggage, might be a problem.
