Nothing, this is an unacceptable property

We were given the wrong room number and lock code - after standing in the rain for 15 mins the hosts blamed us saying we were trying to get into the wrong room, despite having an email with the details. The room smelt of curry and body order and we were moved - but the stairs had no working lights. There was no hairdryer and when requested I was told they couldn't get it to us until 11 am the next day. There was also no bath mat or no iron.

Bathroom was comparably good, shower worked well

Terrible mattress. Lighting, no light at bedside. Flooring broken and uneven.

I liked the fact it was close to Birmingham Uni. And shops. I liked the cleanliness. I liked that there was a fridge and a wardrobe and a very good shower. I liked that accessing the property was hassle-free. I liked that you could control the heating. I liked that there was a chair and desk for working, and an enormous television screen. I liked that there was an apology that they were not able to remedy the issues, and some compensation offered.

I didn't like that I could not open the blind and could not get clearer instructions on how to do this, or someone to come round at a time when I was in. They offered but they were daytimes and I was out working. I also didn't like that they said there was a hairdryer but there wasnt and again they offered to leave one with me but didn't because they tried to get me one in the daytime when I was out. Also the mattress was very lumpy - it would certainly enhance my stay to have a firmer, better mattress. I was also unclear about whether I could use the kitchen facilities - I don't think this is at all clear on the online blurb - by the end of the week I realised I probably could have done.

Simple, warm, hot water shower. Clean

The area is a very dirty looking and I would not feel comfortable recommending it to a female or nervous traveler

I liked how clean it was, I loved how polite and helpful the staff was and I liked the big tv

There was a bit of breeze coming through the windows even though they were closed
