GBGreat location surrounded by peaks. Nice village and the hosts were extremely amiable and welcoming. Will definitely return in the future.
Nothing.
GBVery nice little place with all what you need to have a nice break. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and nothing was to much. I am looking forward to go back again. It was a great experience.
GBThe owners had thought of everything that we needed and added nice touches. Great location for us to hike from with our dog. Marsden had good shops and pubs. Nearby craft brewery (Zapato) was great!
Nothing. We even got great weather!
GBLovely place excellent location Lovely couple nothing was to much
GBWe loved the annex! The friendly welcome and relaxed arrival, everything ready for us and in such a super setting. The check in so easy and great to meet Peter and get some local tips for walks! The kitchen is well equipped and only 8 mins to the local store for supplies, perfect home from home experience. And under floor heating was a welcome bonus for tired feet after a day of walking! Comfy bed, toasty log fire, great shower - we loved our stay!
Everything was perfect for us!
GBThis snug little place is a master-class in design, construction and thoughtfullness. Dr Who's tardis has got nothing on this place! It was spotless, everything worked as it should, easy parking and in a lovely location. You have to be a little aware of headroom when traversing the stairs but nothing too difficult even for a six-footer like me. Peter and Emma could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Marsden is a nice place too, with plenty of walking, near and far, and lovely cafs and pubs. From the train station, it's only 10 mins to Huddersfield or around 30 to Manchester. Access by steps only to both the platforms in use though.
Nothing to dislike.
GBEverything about this property was fabulous. The Scullery has been lovingly renovated and purpose built for short stays in the countryside. We were three adults sharing, and it suited our short stay well, with use of the sofa bed. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were generously sized, and equipped with everything we needed. The underfloor heating in the bathroom made it really cosy, and we were plenty warm in the apartment. There was a log fire, but we didn’t need to use it. Great location just a few minutes walk into town. Marsden is a beautiful village, and you’re easily located to Huddersfield (20 min drive) and surrounding areas by taxi. The views are breathtaking, and in summer the patio would be lovely to sit out and enjoy them. Peter and Emma were quick to respond to any messages, and made us feel so welcome.
Marsden is a hilly area, so worth noting that it’s located up quite a steep hill if you are on foot or travelling with heavy cases.
GBA lovely little place to stay, complete with wood burner
Nothing not to like about The Scullery, the hosts or the place Marsden!
