Stepping Stones Cottage - Lelant, Nr St Ives

Clean and well equipped property, had everything I needed in a convenient location. Hospitable host.

Location to amenities. Good value for money

The cottage was very cozy, clean, tidy. Very detailed information from the staff, how to find it. We had a wonderful stay in this cozy place. It was quiet and peaceful outside. Many thanks to the staff for the good welcome, may God bless and keep you 🙏.

Great location and very clean.

The shower lacked pressure and was either too hot or too cold.

lots of mould on bathroom ceiling - bathroom smelled intensely of mould, despite us keeping the window open and fan on, when we were there overall smell in cottage gave some of us a headache - airing did not help smell of mould in gap between fridge and kitchen cupboard no large shelf for milk etc. in fridge door outdoor seating area could be updated The mould problem was going to be addressed by a painter, but that was after our stay and too late for us. We felt, the environment was not healthy and the host was helpful in agreeing for us to leae earlier than planned. We got refunded for the night we did not stay.

The location was amazing. We enjoyed the walk into the woods.. It's a nice place to connect with nature and enjoy the beach.

There weren't sufficient toilet rolls, just 1 roll for a group of 4.

The cottage overall was quaint and cute. The location was off the beaten path, quiet and relaxing. Lovely area. The bathroom was clean, and the place overall was clean for the most part.

When we stepped in the cottage, it was extremely musty/ smelled mouldy. It was clean, but it seemed it had been closed for a long time and didn't get any air inside. We felt quite ill the entire stay. We also requested a cot for our baby, and it was mouldy. We didn't use it, of course. We had to sleep with our windows open due to the smell, and it was cold.

The chalet is well appointed and lit/heated. It had most of what we needed. We enjoyed walking around the site. There is a bus once an hour to St Ives from the site which saved us driving in. Reasonable amount of parking (we went in July before school hols). Little shop on site was also very handy! For us being able to stay only two nights was really useful (many places have a minimum of 3 nights).

It's silly but a teapot would have been nice! The single beds weren't the most comfy.
