"Hot room and Children of the Corn - Not a 4.3"

2.0

We were on the 3rd (top) floor. Staff said open the windows and it will cool right down (no AC in unit). I did that and could cool down the living room, but Kitchenette and Bedroom were suffocating. I noticed the tile floors were really warm, you might say radiating heat. Well guess what, the floors are heat radiators and the facility never shut off the heat. Roasted in the room, too flipping hot period. I had to figure it out for myself. Wasn’t until we were done with our stay that the room actually cooled down. Also, there were three families staying there with a total of 9 kids from like 10 down to 2. Guess what, Moms and Dads went out for breakfast, leaving the children of the corn to rain terror down on the rest of the guests. Thanks to this irresponsible group of owners, we didn’t get to sleep in. Don’t plan on sleeping in… All in all, not worth it, especially at the absorbent taxes and resort fees attached to that $120.00 a night rate. Rental company staff was a bit be-at-chie also. All in all, a bad experience, this is nowhere near a 4.3 resort.

"A little mis-leading"

6.0

We booked this place specifically because it had a balcony and was within walking distance to downtown. We arrived after check-in time, so we followed the easy after hours check in directions. We got to our room and were pretty happy with it until we checked out the 'balcony', it was a sliding glass door that opened up to a cement walkway with condos across the way. So much for relaxing out on a balcony enjoying the view! The next morning we headed into town to officially check in. We noticed that it was within walking distance, if you were willing to climb back up a very steep, long hill. We ended up driving everywhere we had to go, because the last thing we wanted to do was hike back to our room on a full stomach after a nice meal. The altitude up here is no joke! Upon check in, we had to hand over our credit card and sign a policy saying we understood the charges we could incur. Most of them were pretty standard, but a few things stuck out to me- $10 per missing key card, a $300 fine if you don't do your dishes and take out your own trash and a half a day fee if you do not check out at 10 am on the dot (keep in mind the office is across town)! Seriously?? We paid to relax and enjoy not to do the maid's job. Plus if everyone is handwashing the dishes, how sanitary are they really? We made sure to clean up after ourselves and not lose a key and check out well before 10 am, but we certainly won't be staying here again.

"Weekend getaway"

6.0

We own a place in Breckenridge but it is under renovation. So we had to find somewhere else to stay. The studio suite #212 was clean, nicely decorated, and well stocked. I had read from others that the room temperatures tend to be too hot but our unit had a fan which worked well at night. The only negative feedback is the mechanism to convert the tub faucet to shower is hard to locate. It would be helpful to have a sign in the bathroom to explain this device. We would stay here again!

"Great deal!"

10.0

My stay here was even better than I expected. The "studio" unit was really a complete one-bedroom unit... the bedroom just has three walls instead of four. The kitchen, bathroom, and living room were amazing, and the price was great! I was expecting the weather to be cooler, so I was not upset about not having an air conditioner when I booked the unit. It happened to be quite warm during my stay, so it was pretty uncomfortable in the unit until I found the box fan and popped the windows open.

"Close to town and activities"

10.0

Our summer stay was great. We left the window open all the time and 2 mornings turned on the fireplace to take off the morning chill. Also used the humidifier and fan that were in the bedroom that made things more comfortable. Kitchen is small, but doable for 2 people. I would not want to try 4 people in the room. There were games and DVD's in the room that we used in the evenings. There were also a hair dryer and salt and pepper, which we were told would not be available. We were 2 blocks up the hill from the center of Main St, so we were able to walk to everything in town. We did drive to the grocery store, but there are also buses that run all over town. The whirlpools tub in the room only worked once, but we used the tubs on the first floor, which were nice. We would stay again.

"Some might like it hot"

6.0

Let me start by saying that this room was like a sauna. If you like to live in an 80+ degree environment, then look no further. I had the furnace turned off, and it was still hot. A call to maintenance resulted in a note on our door stating that the smaller condos "run warm" and that we should open a window if we are hot. Give me a break. Also, you have to check in and out at the office on the north end of main street. This was not mentioned anywhere in our travel itinerary and we had a late check in, so it took us about an hour to figure out what we were suppose to do. Aside from those bad aspects, the room was otherwise nice, the heated, free parking was awesome, and he proximity to the Snowflake lift was rockstar. If we could have had some autonomy over the climate control and check-in/out wouldn't have been such a circus, this place would get 5 stars.

"Next to Ski Lift and Near Main Street"

8.0

Stayed during April 8-14. Hotel is 1-minute walk to Snowflake ski-lift, dedicated to homes in the area. With 5-minute downhill walk to Main Street. On the public-free bus path. We stayed in 1-bedroom with sleeper sofa. Breckenridge is high elevation, so air is very dry. Hotel had 2 humidifiers, though only one worked, so we were comfortable. Only way to cool the unit was to open the windows; room thermostat not work. Indoor parking, great if it's snowing. We'd stay there again.
