Riverbend Lodge 120 by Great Western Lodging

The hotel is in a great location, very central. The room was small and extremely hot. The sofa bed definitely needs a new mattress and since we had no balcony it felt a little enclosed. We did not see any member of staff. For the time we were there it was acceptable, the ski ing really made up for the accommodation.

Room temp was hard to control. Turned off heat and opened windows still hot. Could not figure out how to get comfortable all week. Bedding needed updating. No staff in bldg. So if u want soap or fresh towels u have to go to office on main st. Overall location and facilities above average. Needs to update bedding and furnishings.

We were stayed for five days for a snowboarding vacation, and were pleasantly surprised with out stay. The condo was very clean, and it had everything we wanted ski in/out, indoor and outdoor hot tub and well as the mini kitchen complete with plates and utensils. We were able to save a few dollaars by bringing making sandwiches for lunch and bringing them with on the mountain. There are also grills available to make a nice dinner after a full day outside. Could not have asked for anything better.

We stayed in unit 210. It was perfect for my husband and I. Very comfortable for a week's stay with the living and sleeping areas separated by the kitchenette. The big suprise was the heated garage and ski lockers located in the garage. So nice to get in and out of the car in a controlled temperature. The lodge is walking distance to the Snowflake chairlift and lift ticket sales right beside the chair. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The most inconvenient aspect to raise about this lodge is the fact that when i arrived to the address there were nobody in the lobby, i couldn´t enter because I didin´t have the key of the outside door... After sometime i had arrived, the building maintenance man appeired and gentily informed me the Great Westen Oficce adress where i should go to check in.And that was far from the lodge. So, concluding,this procedure must be put in the site togheter with the main hotel informations.l

We had a good experience at Riverbend. Our unit was nice, updated and clean. The location was great with the Snowflake lift located just behind the building. We loved having the garage access and the ski locker for our equipment. Our only complaint was that our unit was so HOT. We had the window open most of the time (even at night with the temps 9 degrees!).

The place was great and the room was very nice and well equiped. The one strange thing was the TV. It was dinky. It looked like a computer screen. The space for a TV was quite large but it dwarfed this space. That was a bummer being NFL season and College basketball. The only place you could see the TV is if you sat on the couch, you could not lay on the floor either. We would stay there again, just not that room.

Overall, somewhat ordinary place. Pluses: Location right next to lift. Minuses: Room too hot! Something wrong with the heating in the building. We had to open a window in 8 degree weather just to get the room comfortable. Room layout kind of weird. Kitchenette was tiny, hardly able to prepare a meal. TV/DVD messed up. I had to re-wire from one configuration to another to watch TV or DVDs. No simple switch box to change from one to the other.

When we got to the hotel/lodge, we did not know we needed to check-in at a different location. Thank goodness a maintenance person was there to tell us. The check-in location was not far and was easy to find, but make sure you read the policy to see the check-in address location to get your room keys! Otherwise the room was great! Very cozy and clean! Best of all it was located just a short walk to Main St. We will definitely go back to this lodge! P.S. Downstairs at Eric's was a great place to go eat in Breckenridge, good food, service, and atmosphere! Bubba Gump Shrimp was also quite good!

This was a great place to stay. Plenty of room for the two of us, clean, easily accessible and nicely decorated. Only 2 complaints - first is that we were supposed to "check-in" at the office of the management company in downtown Breckenridge [...]. Only other complaint is that due to the room layout the bedroom area was quite far away from the window. Since we stayed in the summer and there was no air conditioning, it was too hot for my husband to sleep in the bed and he ended up having to sleep on the pull-out couch every night. Kind of a bummer, but otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay.
