Luxury 2-Bed Apartment in Salford Quays 10 min to Manchester & MediaCity

Amazing staff the lady went out her way to do a surprise birthday for my sister. So helpful from booking till check out.

The heating did not work switched it on as we got there but did not heat the rooms up all night as it was snowing so it was a very cold night. Also the TV did not work.

The apartment is very central, only a 20 minute walk from Manchester Centre. Very spacious, well decorated. Free toiletries available, and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The apartment was generally very clean, and smelled lovely. Smart TV available in the living room. Beds a little firm for us but perfect for people who prefer that. Despite the main road, the flat is well insulated and there is very little traffic heard inside.

You have to collect the keys from a local convenience store about a 5 minute walk away, it was a very easy process, but a lock box would be an easier option. There is very limited free street parking in the surrounding areas however this gets very full, we got lucky to find the last parking space. When we booked free parking was advertised which was misleading as the parking is not connected to the accommodation at all (2 streets away), although I see this has now been updated to say no parking. Due to the location there are lot of paid car parks in the surrounding areas if you don’t manage to get parked on the street. The walls were covered in scuff marks, and there were some stains on the carpet (appeared like people had been walking around with their shoes on during previous stays). Could definitely benefit from a fresh lick of paint throughout, however this didn’t effect our stay.

Location was good for what we were doing in Manchester. Beds were comfortable.

You have to collect keys from a convenience store which is 10 minutes walk away. They text instructions ahead of time to do this. It wasn't until.we arrived that I noticed we'd been given no instructions on the parking. Our key fob didn't work on the gate and there was no one answering our calls. No street parking spots we're free so we had to park 10 minutes away. They claimed that they didn't know the gate wasn't working but there were cars parked in there. I don't believe they actually have access to park there as this wasn't included in the instructions they had given. They then proceeded to send me Google maps screen shots of street parking. You are told in your instructions not to speak to concierge about anything. Reading past reviews now I think it's because they aren't allowed to rent out the apartments. We eventually got in. The ring door bell was missing off the door. This was later found stuffed down the sofa. After we found it we got a text asking to put it back on the door. We also found vapes in the sofa. Not great when traveling with a 3 year old. Hot water didn't work in the family bathroom but luckily did in the ensuite for a shower. One bedroom had a strange musty smell. All windows in the property lopen out onto a walkway for other flats so you can't really have the blinds open without everyone seeing in. No one answers the phone. They only message back... eventually. I wouldn't stay again and would tell people to avoid this.
