Harbour View 3BR 2BA Apt in Heart of Heraklion Easy Walk to Port, Old Town, Lions Square & Museums #2

Superb location by the passenger ferries with lots of parking. A quick taxi from the airport too. Really accessible for town centre m. The apartment was clean and functional without wow factor, but matched the price so yes, good value for such a cool location. Fastest lift/elevator on the planet! Right beside the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology which was an unexpected treat.

A little noisy - hearing people upstairs through the night and at the nearly next door Bofor music bar and a “gentleman’s club” beside it shouting and chatting late at night in the front room. Of course it’s an even better location if music or adult entertainment are your scene.

The apartment was conveniently located to the port and old town Crete. There were many close places to eat and shop. The apartment contained all amenities we needed including dishwasher, laundry and elevator. Parking at the Port paking lot was convenient and safe for six euros per day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The entrance hall is dark and musty even though the apartment smelled clean. All of the shades were down, so it was alarming at first, but once we opened the metal shades and looked around the apartment, we were satisfied we had chosen correctly. Crete is potable, but we were not sure if it was desalinated, so we bought bottled water. It would have been nice to have a couple of bottles provided.

We loved the space, lots of room and all the conveniences. The location was excellent - close to the bus station and the port and the sites we were going to see.

The host came to check us in and explain how things work and where to go for groceries, etc.
