It’s incredible age, history and charm. We kept finding more fascinating things! It felt quirky and sumptuous.

Nothing.. it’s so unique it just took a few minutes to adjust but we loved our stay. Mum and I both slept like logs.

The host was very welcoming when arriving to this spacious B&B. Host was very accommodating with breakfast for dietary requirements.

What a beautiful place, loved the history of the building, the friendliness of the owners, the facilities offered, and how affordable it was to stay in such an amazing building. Also the links to the music world were fascinating!

Quirky charaterful suite in peaceful setting had all we needed for a family break away

The area was very pretty and was conveniently placed for our needs. Lovely pond and garden.

The property was extremely dirty, dusty. Cobwebs on everything. Pillowcases with white stains all over. Broken toys in outside toy box advertised for children on website. No breakfast on last morning despite arranging the day before. Musty smell, dirty carpet, no carpet on second bedroom floor, no opening windows, dirty water and drinking jug covered in rust. Asked it to be cleaned and not cleaned just topped up. The owners came in multiple times with no prior warning and didn’t knock first. Kitchen inadequate, microwave, toaster in cupboard. Jam and cereal very old and opened prior to our stay. We had some warm pastry’s provided for breakfast on the second day of our stay and whilst we were out they were put in a zip lock bag in a bowel with a tea towel over the top next to a warm unopened window. Still warm over 8 hours later when we got back. Now wondering if they decided we should eat these potentially harmful pastries for breakfast next day as we didn’t eat them all the morning before, and that’s why we didn’t receive a fresh breakfast. We have asthma and eczema in our family which is aggregated by dust and dirt. We couldn’t cook my disabled son his usual food because there was no full fitted kitchen provided as per the advert. The only positive was the shower was brill,The sofa was small and dirty covered in old cobwebs at the back. Under the bed and the by the bed head was covered in black cobwebs and dead spiders and looked like it hadn’t been hoovered in years. The only way of getting some ventilation was to leave the wooden doors open and the we had the owners dog and a cat trying to enter the house, with pet allergies and a terrified family member with a dog phobia this was not ideal. Very disappointing especially for the money. My younger son was very upset and stressed and wanted to leave almost straight away. He called it a medieval shack. A far cry from the boutique retreat we were promised.

There was only cereal or croissant for breakfast. I don’t eat these and no choice of anything else. Booking did say continental type breakfast so they werent at fault I just didn’t like it.
